Problem with meshes and Steam update?

Steam updated NV a few days ago and apparently messed up the ArchiveInvalidation. How do I get it back to its original state because now I can't use mods with custom meshes?

Have you tried downloading the manual version of http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944 and just using the file in the and manually placing it in data?

1) Copy ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa into your Fallout New Vegas\Data directory.
[location of steam]\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas
2) Open "My Documents\My Games\Fallout NV\falloutprefs.ini and fallout.ini (fallout.ini may be read only, right click on the file and choose properties and uncheck read only and hit ok after making changes put fallout.ini back to read only)
3) Edit the [Archive] section
4) Make the SArchiveList look like:
SArchiveList=ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa
5) Save and close the file
6) do the above for the file called fallout_default.ini in your \steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas

I did this and it works like a charm for me.

I also save a copy of the 3 files i edited after editing them somewhere so if it ever gets overridden somehow, I can put them back in.
