Ways to bypass vampire side effects

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 9:00 am

Does anybody have some ideas? So far, I've got:

1. Be a Dunmer, their natural 50% fire resistance cancels out vampirism's weakness to fire. At level 1, you still have an enhanced resistance, at level 2, you have no resistance, but no weakness.

2. Find and activate the Lady Stone, which makes you regenerate your health and stamina 25% faster, negating their lack of regeneration in sunlight.

Also, general vampire discussion/advice/tactics on playing one. And besides enchantments, is there any way to gain a magicka regeneration bonus?

Nice, looks like I'll be leveling my Restoration.

I was planning to go heavy restoration with enchants to lower cost combined with the perk to restore stamina at the same. Was going to be my way to get around being in the sunlight as the no stamina regen is extremely annoying during the day. Admittedly, I overlooked the Lady Stone and now that is looking interesting to mess around with, maybe. RP wise it's been pretty fun as a vampire because it almost forces you to not fast travel, in fear of suddenly jumping a stage or two!

Go out at night.

But I do so hate traveling at night.

side note: Am I the only one who feels the need to activate my vampire night vision when I go into daylight?

Also get the stamina regen perk for light armor, which adds 50% stamina regeneration for each piece of light armor IIRC (so +200% increase in total). Also illusion is useful (plus gets a nice buff) for invisibility and calm when your a level 4 vamp. Also you can just use potions to restore health or fortify health regeneration.

Magic resist, the lord stone adds 25%, being a breton adds 25%, the temple of mara quest adds 15 and you can use enchanting/alchemy for the other 20% (the max is 85%).

Wait, there's actually a point to that temple of Mara quest?

Dont mean to rain on any parades but what does the vampirism effects say.

Because if it says reduces your regeneration by 100% then getting additional regen will work but if it says inhibits or stops regen while in sunlight then it won't matter if you have 200% regen it will cancel all of it

I think it's the first one, because after getting the Lady Stone, I can run around in the daylight and have my stamina come back.
