I was in Belethor's General Goods in Whiterun. I had Lydia along with me as well. I tell Lydia to wait in the middle of the room to distract Belethor from noticing me going upstairs to steal a ring. I steal it and head outside and realize I forgot to tell Lydia to c'mon. I turn around to head inside and the door is locked. Every other store is open besides Belethor's. So it makes me wonder about what Lydia does when she is chillin' at Breezehome... :hubbahubba:

Edit: I pick the lock to go get her and I try to talk to them both and they say "You're not supposed to be in here!!!"

From my observation, I think that's funny stuff. Skyrim has amusing moments (and bugs) such as these that make me smile.

Yeah, I've noticed some little funny moments, that one gave me a good ol' chuckle.

I ran up to the second floor of that alchemist shop in...Dawnstar? The one where you can get to it from the ground because th ground is higher in back. I heard a noise like a door opening. Soon enough, I realized Faendal was missing, I looked and looked. After a few minutes, the store opened, and I went in. Sure enough, there was Faendal, who apparently picked the lock on a closed store because he couldn't figure out any other way to the second floor. And then apparently couldn't get the door open again to leave once I'd come back down.

Sigh.

Actually all NPCs can open any door if they want. Just try using "lock 100" command when the guards are chasing you and use it on a door. The guards can open the doors easily even though the door requires a key that does not exist in the game to open.
