New Vegas better than skyrim?!? Looooooooool

I stand by what I said. New Vegas has actual consequences for story decisions, a better combat system and a better levelling system.
You can pick new Vegas up for £6 on eBay, and there is a reason for that, it's just not that great man, not IMO anyway, that's why you can pick it up so damn cheap.

Or, which is more likely, is because it was released over a year ago. Bad Company 2 cost me less than that on PS3 at the start of 2011.

Also, almost all the Fallout New vegas copies I could find for £6 were either in auction, invalidating your assessment of the price, or second hand.

Skyrim will be £6 on ebay in less time than New Vegas..

Skyrim is a great game

But if you are looking for another great game, then play

The Witcher 1 and 2

Both Witcher titles are awesome, but bear in mind that the Witcher 1 has a timing-based combat system. It'll probably be unlike anything you've ever used before, and does take a little bit away from the immersion and personal input of combat.

Witcher 1's combat actually sounds better, from what I've read on the forum. Aside from the linear, forced storyline which just ain't my bag... one of the things I really hated was the God of War style button pressing sequences such as the Kraken (forgot the actual name lol) fight and fist fights etc. I loathe games like that- feels so incredibly fake and has absolutely nothing to do with your character's abilities and rather how good your twitch reflexes are as a player (even then it was laughably easy anyway). Arm wrestling had nothing to do with character ability, and more to do with how good your mouse control and sensitivity is lol. There is also a sign that makes you pretty much invincible (can't remember the name of it either heh), or at least when I played it there was.

One mechanic I DID like, was having to meditate to use potions... that was really cool. Although again, from what I hear, the first one did potions better with secondary effects, a lasting and meaninglful toxicity, and not having effects cancel each other out so much etc.

i love Mount & Blade warband. I would definitely recommend that. I cant say its better than Skyrim, but its very engaging in its own way. Its depth will surprise you.

I've watching a let's play and it looks really cool (love this guy's accent lol), definately gonna pick that one up soon. :)
