Me and Erandur...

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 11:19 am

Erandur is by far the most gangsta companion in the game. No one even comes close. HE KNOWS EVERYTHING. Dwarven ruins.....history lesson inc. Bandits....stories of bandit raids and situations where bandits do things lower then low. New city..... His own personal feelings about the environment....not "wow, would you look at that"

This guy screams originality with every word and then to make it worse... He also has the most diverse fighting style in the universe. He can rock full heavy armor and can use 2 handed maces. So he got this daedric I made him which he only uses to stunlock people who turn their back to him chasing me.

Most of the time he is incinerating the enemy with fire or summoning astronachs with his wand he uses only to summon then puts it away for a 2 hander lol. He uses a bow when the fireball range is lackluster..... He literally has the most diverse fighting style I ever seen.

I fought another fully armored super boss earlier today. The first time I fought one, it took literally forever to kill him with like crazy potions because my companion would just shoot lame weak arrows at his armor as he laughed chasing me down with his infinite power strikes and amazing agility that he could somehow raise his 2 hander to block every time i swung.

Lasted 45 seconds with me choking down almost all my potions...

This time however, the fight was hilarious. THe dude caught me sneaking and bumrushed me, I backed off to do backpedal strikes and erandur was literally roasting him. He hit me twice for 30% my hp per hit so i started kiting, as i crossed erandur, he switched to shooting fireballs for impact. When the boss ran past him, he raged out at the disrespect and broke out his 2 handed mace. As the boss is about to finish me off, i see a giant hammer flying toward his skull in the background and he literally 1 shots the dude from 40% hp to the point where he was on one knee, begging for his life... This is where the epic part comes....

"I surrender, please don't kill me"

"Bandits deserve no mercy"

Point black fireball to the face incinerating his body and sending him clear across the room. He then looks at me and goes, "bandits would steal from their own mothers if they had a chance" as he put away his hammer. I laughed soooooooo freaking hard. I don't think anything in this game will ever top what erandur did this day.

So does Jenassa. She also knows a lot of stuff about the ruins and dungeons, inspite of being just some assassin.

"I thought about becoming a bandit but I decided I like clean clothes and fresh mead".

"These ruins were inhabited by dwarves. Don't know they are called like that, history documents them as being no shorter than humans"

Crazy perfect unscripted stuff like that is why I love the game.

Sometimes the coolest stuff will happen and you know it didn't happen for anyone else.

Haven't found a companion that has as many spoken lines as him yet, iirc he has atleast 2 for ever dungeon type. Acouple for each area and one for each city.
Besides, you meet him through a quest so it just adds to his awsomeness.
He'll acually comment and has a semblance of a personality rather than beeing some silent, robot pack mule. I like him, wish there were more companions like that.

Yeah.... I killed him. I don't like using followers, considering my horse can defeat a dragon and own bandits.

Oh boy.

I sacrificed him to Boetiah D:

I didn't know he had a personality. Now I feel bad.

And on the other hand, we have Lydia, who after we finish clearing a cave and go outside, will say "Look, a cave! I wonder what's inside?"
