I used to play Skyrim like you...

Alas, if patch 1.3 doesn't hit before Tuesday on the Xbox I will likely not play Skyrim again for a long long time. I wonder if that game will work. It installed just fine. :)

Skyrim > SWTOR.

But SWTOR will be good, hopefully.

I feel like they just punched me in the face though, I went to preorder the CE and the don't do it any more! Do you want my money or not?

I had a long look at the gameplay, and it disappointing me greatly. Looked like WoW with a better universe. If I want an epic MMO, I'll re-subscribe to EVE Online.

I played the SWTOR beta and thought it was extremely boring. It felt like someone had created a Star Wars mod for WoW but then got rid of crafting, mining and anything else other than questing and grinding.

I want my damn treasure chests patched back in. It's annoying to see even the OBJECT around the chest removed. Like, you know there used to be a dead tree lying there with some mushrooms attached. All I see is empty space and floating caps.

How does a patch BREAK more things than it fixes?

I scoured their website and couldn't find any mention of what their game actually was. It could be RTS for all I could find. This game is hiding something from us. Can anyone give me an overview as to what this SWTOR game is?

I gave Eve a second try last summer. It felt like I was going to a job when I played that game. WoW took a lot of the best things from other MMOs and merged them into one. I hope that TOR only looks like WoW on the surface and finds it's own style. Even if I only play it for the first month it'll probably be worth it. I'm glad I never tried SWG. I followed that game for a long time and when I got my beta account activated I just gave it away and never looked back.

I've played Skyrim for 276 hrs according to Steam and since the patches have been having nothing but issues so I'm going to play Fallout New Vegas. That's fairly well patched now. I've never gotten through the main quest in Skyrim nor half of the factions. I've had to start over so many times because one thing or the other doesn't work. It worked fine before with the random CTD here and there. Now, forget it.

Its kotor with mmo quests... beta bored the hell outta me. My biggest complaint is the character creation, even f2p mmo's give more customization.

Im sure it will sell like hotcakes though

@Shagsbeard, It's an MMORPG set during a galactic war in the era of the old republic (even before the Knights of the Old Republic games). It's the Sith vs Republic. Sith get what about to 8 classes from 4 base classes, Republic gets the same. Most of what I've read says the game doesn't really hook you in until around level 14 give or take. I'll give it till level 20 and if I'm not addicted I'll probably burn it and curse the devs lol.

The amount of ignorance in this thread is staggering.

Oh, and of all the places on this Earth to hear the Joke of the Week, it had to be the Skyrim forums:

Skyrim > SWTOR.

MMOs are so pointless, run around for 6 months playing the hell out of PvE, then PvP the next 6 months, leave the game because theres nothing else to do, wait for next MMO.

What a pathetic life.

my biggest complaint about it is the direction they took with the art style. It looks just like that Clone Wars cartoon

I like Skyrim because the general public don't spam me with gold selling sites or adverts for interacial porm websites, they don't run up to me nekkid asking if I've ever tried it with an elf before, they don't shout at me with their leet speak and talk in acronyms I don't understand and they don't hover around all the valuable plants/baddies waiting for respawns all day meaning I can't get anything if I'm playing casually and just happen to be passing by.

Right, and you've just made yourself look stupid.

You're in the SKYRIM forum. People here are going to prefer the game that's centered around the forum to another completely random game. I fail to see how someone can be so ignorant.

Personally, I'm not playing another MMO until Guild Wars 2 comes out.

There is a SWTOR thread in the Community Discussion section.

And what is with all the MMO hate? Who cares what games you play - I have my personal favorite games (like Skyrim, which will end up being played for 100s of hours), but I play a lot of different games as well. Including some MMOs. And honestly... I don't happen to like the FPS games, like the Modern Warfare/Battlefield/CoD type games, but I don't have to insult the people that do like them - because unlike a poster or two in this thread, I actually understand that a wide range of people play games these days, and people vary in their likes and dislikes, so it would reflect poorly on me if I were to make some utterly pointless generalization about the players of this or that genre/game.
