The Next Province

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 10:27 am

Which province would you like to see and which do you think will actually be chosen? I know Skyrim just came out, but the developers are probably asking themselves this right now in preperation for the next game.

Personally, I've always wanted to see Elsweyr. The jungles would be tough on PCs, but we could see some really interesting weather effects, environments, and enemies. Stealth gameplay and trading/barter would be revamped since they play such a large role in Khajiit society. Quest writing could really be improved. You'd never know what twists and turns a seemingly 'helpful' Khajiit could lead you through, since they tend to be manipulative and self-centered.

Realistically, my bet's on High rock or Valenwood though :(. Maybe Summerset (which wouldn't be too bad).

As much as I'm enjoying Skyrim, it would have been my last choice, except possibly High Rock.

Edit: Black Marsh is waaaay in the lead. I'm surprised Elsweyr is so far back :(.

Elsweyr would be so. [censored]. Epic.

Will probably be high rock though, as DLC.

Bethesda will probably ruin either Summerset Isle or Valenwood in their next open world fighting game developed for consoles and badly ported to the PC.

It occurs to me that the boundaries have shifted. Instead of Blackmarsh, we might get the new Argonion state. Or we could get the Aldmeri Dominion instead of Valenwood/Summerset.

And you will still come to the forums to moan how It's not like the awesome Skyrim, how streamlined the thing is, how awesomely great your own game would be and why Throne of Baal was the best game ever. Oh, and you'll probably buy It also.

My bet is on Elsweyr, although Black Marsh would be great too.

Black Marsh would be a great adventure imo. Make it or break it, Bethesda could make it a dark, intense, hardcoe survival adventure. The setting is amazing to display on the next gen hardware and the Argonian society would be such an alien diversion from generic medieval fantasy. Hell yeah! To the swamps, baby!

Hammerfell

I don't like the idea of Black Marsh, since not much can live there besides Argonians.

It's not about living, it's about exploring. Everyone can go to Black Marsh for an adventure if something important is happening there. It's funny how people are hanging on a lore related excuse why we shouldn't have a game in Argonia, whereas Bethesda seems to have no problem in changing the lore as we speak ;)
