Nord's Battle Cry

Alright, this is one thing and prolly the only thing bugging me about Nords. There useless power...

Sometimes I find it helpful when I get swarmed by Trolls.. but other than that it has no "GREAT" use. Back in Oblivion you got the Nordic Woad (Alteration spell), and Nordic Frost (Destruction spell). I RARELY used the Frost attack... more the Woad.

That's what I was hoping they could have some kind of Alteration/Restoration spell as a power. My suggestion?

Winds of Frostfall

Improves caster's Armor rating by 60 pts for 120 seconds. Increases Frost Resistance by 20%.



Which takes me to another point! WHY is there absolutely NO Spell Making in this game.. whatsoever? Theres enchanting which I loveeee.. but why can't we make spells anymore?

IDK, what do you think of Battle Cry, or other "Powers"? Discuss! :D

Battle Cry? Useless? Well, I never!

That thing saved my life on Master enough times for it to be useful. Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather the old Morrowind system, where Nords were walking tanks that shrugged off Shock and Frost attacks, but that might be asking a little much. Besides, they needed something that differentiated them from Bretons.

its unique and its handy when you get swarmed, i don't know what they could have put in that would be better. Its one of the few powers that are actually good, the orcs have the only one thats better imo

Argonian water breathing is great because it's passive rather than daily, and the Altmer ability to regenerate magicka at a super-fast rate is brilliant. I do neglect the once-a-day powers though because I'm always saving them for some other battle.

Should have been a AoE knock down effect instead. They wouldn't even have to change the name.

I think Battelcry is quite a good fit for the Nords. It's like a wave of thunder thrown outward, a nice evolution of "Thunderfist," if you ask me. The earlier form of Thunderfist didn't make much sense.

Closest thing to an improvement I see is their thunderous shout taking the form of a wave of power that pushes enemies back, staggers them, or even knocks them down.

It's not useless. It is, in fact, a life saver at times. Perhaps another race would be more to your liking.
Nords have Battlecry and that's all there is to that. As a long-time TES player, I like it.

To each their own, I suppose.

Battle cry is the second most useful racial activated ability for melee warriors. Redguards once had the best warrior ability, but now they're a distant fourth place behind orcs.

I beat Krosis at level FIVE with battlecry. FIVE.

If anything, it's ridiculously OVER powered. It is essentially a free ticket to hit anything for 30 seconds without taking damage.
