As i recall, during the Great war. Europe became the Commonwealth
and tried to keep the americans and the chinese from destroying each other
i also heard, that after the war, europe wasn't as affected by the nuclear
bombs as the rest of the world. and that they have all kind of
flashy gadgets... but when i heared that Dr. Li went to the Commonwealth up NORTH!!!
that just didn't make sense since Europe is east of the U.S.

Pretty sure that whole planet was reduced to cinders when the bombs fell. And the European Commonwealth dissolved during the Resource Wars.
