Give them some staves. Lydia conjures up Frost Atronach, Familiars and she uses shock on the enemies and any other staff you can give her, including the Reanimate staff I gave her.

Also, I gave my Lydia a soul trap bow, some arrows and some soul gems and she helps to get enough to keep recharging our enchanted weapons.

You can't conjure cows.

That's probably a mod.

Totally forgot about the staffs. A Whiterun guard used a staff I threw once.Big surprise for me.

You can reanimate animals. That's the black smokey stuff coming off of the cow; part of the "undead" effect.

Darn! I never would have thought of a conjured cow. Or giving Lydia a reanimate staff. I spend most of my time planning how to keep her alive. I often have to tell her to wait or she'll charge in and get killed. Or kills omeone I dont' want killed.

There's some fun conjuration down in the basemant of the Arcane college...but mind you, the things you conjure dwn there don't obey you and are hostile. Good times.

What does conjure "familiar" mean? I don't underdtand what a familiar is.
