Is it safe to put my items in that chest before Dead Money?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 2:11 pm

Tried entering Dead Money recently and crashed every single time when the slideshow was supposed to start. I'm not one to say "[censored] GAME" and just give up, but rather I experimented. I decided that either the Vault 13 canteen or my Gun Runner's Arsenal weapons could for whatever reason be having trouble getting put in the chest, and that's what's causing my crash. Sure enough, when I put all my gear in the chest myself (the one that all your gear gets put into when you start the DLC), I didn't crash.

Now my only question is, is it safe to do that? When I finish Dead Money, I'm not gonna find out that all the gear I put in there manually (including the Medicine Stick) is gone, right?

EDIT: D'oh, wrong forum. Oh well. :P

Well, I dunno about the chest, but I do know that the dropbox to your left upon entering the deep part of the bunker is safe, and so are the containers in the room beyond, if you have 50 Science. Also, the corpse in the entrance foyer is safe.

LOL. Well, he ain't about to run off with it, is he? I play dress-up with corpses all the time! Don't judge my character! She's a psychopath!

Wait a minute, do corpses dress up in better armor if the cell is reentered?

Both. If it's the corpse of someone you killed, then the answer is yes if you reload the area. If it's a corpse that was always there, then no.

Although it's a lot hit and miss.

That particular corpse will always be wearing it's Dead Money jumpsuit.

As for the question, it's safe. Everything in the Abandoned Bunker is safe.
