I was forging and then I did some stuff in the game for about an hour, went to forge again and it won't let me.

"Press A to use forge" and I press it and nothing happens. Same with grindstone and workbench.

Also Farkas) the companion keeps following me and asking me stuff, I tried to stop this by telling the person following me that we needed to part ways. I then asked him if he wanted to follow me and he said "Let's not waste anytime." He puts away his sword but takes it out again and asks me the same stuff again.

I have no idea why he won't leave me alone. It is like the guards in Markarth.

Has this happened to anyone yet? What should I do?


I went to the Skyforge to buy metal ingots. When I ran off to go to the smithing place at Whiterun I was stopped by Farkas. I was confused but I didn't care and ran off. Then I went to Riverwood and bought more metal ingots from the Smith there. I went to forge and it wouldn't work. I went back to Skyforge and it wouldn't work either. It didn't work at the smithing place right when you walk into Whiterun either. All while this was going on Farkas was harassing me. The follower I had was Aela

When you click the forge and stuff does it put you in 3rd person view for second then nothing? That happened on 1 of my characters and it never fixed itself. I tried reloading old saves but it kept doing it about the same time so I ended up deleting that character.

No it doesn't, it stays in first person.

I also figured out how to get rid of Farkas, I apparently will have to pay off a bounty. I'll do it tomorrow though because it is 4 am now
