Is it just me or has the speed of garbage cleanup, i.e. removal of dead NPCs, animals, etc from the game accelerated? For example, I killed some Stormcloak soldiers, reached my carry limit and came back within 24 game hours to grab the rest of the loot and they had disappeared.
I wish there were an update for resetting misplaced items, too...I'm tired of seeing salmon thrown up in the streets of Solitude, or lots of meat from a stand in the mud in Windhelm.
They said they were going to increase the rate at which dragon corpses disappeared with 1.2 because for some people (myself included) they were piling up and it got annoying. It's likely they accelerated all clean-up whether they intended to or not.
Seems like it's sped up. Hell, I killed a Giant and a Mammoth, waited one dayhour for my follower to catch the [censored] up, where ever she was, and the bodies were no longer there. Least I got that mammoth's soul.
I can attest to this as well. Killed a bunch of bandits, went over carry capacity, came back they were all gone....
Sigh..
I've noticed this happen pre-patch. It seems like if there's a number of bodies, some of the bodies will disappear. Trick? Grab all their stuff, find a corner, and drop it. Their equipment does not vanish with them.
