Really? No New Reno or Area 51 DLCs?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 3:30 pm

Oh, totally.
Who really wanted to find out what happened to Elijah anyhow? God/Dog and the other new characters were interesting, but I'd much rather visit a old airforce base that we have seen portrayed hundreds of times before than visit a new unique location with it's own history and new survival based gameplay. Or even better, they could take an awesome location from a older game, and shoehorn it into a new engine that will strip it of everything we loved.

Simple, it is your opinion and I think New Reno would be much better than Dead Money could ever be. Possibly Area 51, just depends on how they make it.

Your own damn problem, and are you really [censored]ing about something that the writers would have NO space for their own stories, backgrounds, and plotlines that ARE NOT focused on [censored] aliens?

Oh, and New Reno was visited once, no need to visit it again, especially not in this game when you are ALREADY IN A GAME FOCUSED AROUND A SIN CITY.

Completely agree.

I don't get this entire post at all. New Reno has been done before, even the current game replaces it with a much grander version, New Vegas, in fact. Area 51 is basically aliens, which has already been done with Mothership Zeta. Old World Blues also covers that kind of setting as well. In any case, aliens do not really belong in a Fallout game.

I think what we got in terms of DLC pretty much covers both bases, and then some.

Has no one ever played Fallout 2? New Reno and New Vegas are different! They only have some similar vibes such as the gambling.

I am shocked at this. This is just the worst thing I think Obsidian has done. New Reno, probably the best town in the Fallout universe, not in a DLC! Area 51 is not in a DLC. All I have to say is wow! You make a game like Fallout based in Las Vegas and you don’t add Area 51. WTF!?!? I am just appalled at this, and I will never forgive this, truly. Sure it is a game and still a good one, but not doing some obvious things; in addition, many people wanted them.

God please no more aliens in fallout.. they didn't do a good job last time. Not enough to think it was worth the money.

If you want aliens, pick up Prey 2.

Thats sort of the whole point......New Reno was already IN Fallout 2.

Why make a DLC focused around a town that's already been done? I can just play Fallout 2 and experience New Reno.

First off, no one said there must be aliens. Second, why not revisit New Reno? I will watch the Godfather more than once. In addition, I should not need to buy a whole game to see one town. Though I own it; I am talking about the principle. Plus, some people can't stand the graphics. They should be aloud to see the best city in the Fallout world.

I bought it for the 360 too, and then the PC, my PC is a piece of trash and can run it.

I did play both, I'm probably one of the most ridiculous biased players of all time bashing Fallout 3 because of it, anyways if you want New Reno go PLAY IT ON FALLOUT 2, we don't need to revisit old places that had a one off lifetime especially since the MAIN CITY IN THE GAME fills the gap.

Well mine lagged like hell even on the lowest graphics. I am not a PC expert so I will not buy a new graphics card. In addition, Oblivion ran decent so I tried many times to download mods for that game (and many others). About 90% of the time I failed to download them. Even though I spent hours on how to install mods and use them. Most of the time it just crashed, others had a giant yellow triangle.

Then that's just your own problem, we don't need any new DLC involving going back to the same place where NOTHING has changed. At all. In ANY way. Whatsoever. ESPECIALLY since we've seen it once, and once was enough.

Area 51? Do I even need to go on about that?

Whatever, sorry, but Obsidian and Bethesda have both said they won't make any more DLC's.

That gets me really pist. Why the hell would they had Big Mountain and not Area 51?!?! Go ahead and not make it now, but they should have really thought of these things at the drawing table.

They could have at least put a compound that you couldn't enter, but had some funny Area 51 references and maybe a window you could poke into. And maybe a little storage room in the back where you could get an Alien Blaster.

I removed many posts that were flamebait/flaming, platform/console bashing and other such uncivil conduct.

I'm just going to close this thread so it doesn't continue since there will be no more DLCs teed off or not.
