Starting first DID character

After playing through once, I decided to make my next play through tougher. This is also my first ES game, so I was wondering if anone had any tips or anything for playing a Dark Elf, sneak+magic type character on DID

Well, since no one is jumping in, here are my two cents (really I only have two):

- Get your health up early to prevent being one-shotted (or 'one-trapped' in the case of traps).
- On traps again: get the sneak perk that prevents traps that you step on from being set off.
- Make sure you have some 'oh sh*t' buttons for those situations where you don't have the element of surprise in your advantage. What are you going to do to survive when 5 mobs jump on you unexpectedly? Something like setting them up against eachother, or being able to go invisible would be nice to have when you get in a situation you can't survive.
- Get even more health since you are probably not wearing very decent armor with your class. Seriously. Lack of magicka can be compensated with gear that reduces magicka cost, and what good is stamina to you anyway?

I have a DID character IRL, I don't want to have it in my games.

DID is great. Really makes you get more involved. It's far more immersive and edge-of-seat..ing. I actually have an "OH SHI-" attitude when it comes to near death experiences.

To be honest, the fun is in the journey. You don't want it all spoilt for you by knowing how to do it. ;)

Took me three characters who all died of cliffs/traps before I got my first proper character... who then recieved a trunk-slap to the face by a hairy elephant when my companion thought it would be hilarious to start a fight with one, just as he had just joined the legion and was in the process of begining his fruitful and prosperous career... R.I.P. Gron Gro-Baal :(

Yeah, don't bring along companions if you plan on a journey past some mammoths.

I've also found it's really fun to purposfully nerf yourself. I've been trying to get my fist-fighting anti-potion character off the ground for days now.
