Classy / Formal clothing mods?

Post » Fri Oct 30, 2009 1:14 am

Does anyone know of a good mod that adds evening dresses, suits, or tuxedos to the game? Something appropriate for a big Vegas casino.

I tried FNVnexus, but unfortunately it's all skimpy clothing made for six mods. Nothing with any substance to it.

Hmmm, if there are no mods to be found at present time you might wish to head over to the Ultra Luxe casino. I believe I got a tuxedo from that place :)

You could also try the following AddItem codes in case you want them through the console:

001258c3 FormalWearHat Tuxedo Hat

As far as I know there isn't much out there yet in terms of formal clothing. Ports or otherwise.

I was after the same thing in my game so I ported a couple of clothes mods from Fallout 3 myself for my own game (I use the Type V female body). If you are willing to do a little bit of work in the G.E.C.K. yourself, you could try importing Fallout 3 mods like the ones below into your own game.

These are amazing, EXACTLY what I was looking for.

...Unfortunately, I have literally NO experience with the G.E.C.K.

I guess I should start hoping that the authors port their work over to NV, then.

If you get tired of waiting I'd highly recommend having a play with the G.E.C.K. (the wiki can get you started with the basics). I for one love tweaking my game so it looks how I want it to - it adds to re-playability and you never have to just "settle" for what has been handed to you by the game makers.

All you need to do is download the mod you like, extract the models and textures into the Fallout New Vegas Data folder, open the G.E.C.K. with just the falloutnv.esm selected (a blank canvas so to speak) copy an existing item of clothing by giving it a new ID and point it to the models you just extracted. Then you can add your new item to a levelled list or directly to an existing NPC etc. Save it as mymod.esp and load it as you would any other mod.

Modding is fun! Give it a try. :)
