Who here has a NCR Veteran Ranger Character?

Just curious. Feel free to share your build if you want.

Nope, because I don't like supporting the NCR nor I want to restrict myself to wearing just one same type of armor, which I don't even really like.

Well, he's usually an out-of-uniform Ranger. And not really a veteran since I'm RPing earned is ranger status in game.
So I guess not really...

[Edit]
But he does run around with a Sniper Rifle, Bowie Knife, and his trusty Ranger Sequoia.
(Which I know, they're supposed to get the Sequioa after 20 years of service but come on..haha)

I don't wear the NCR Vet outfit but I do wear the unique relic versions and use them against the NCR

Well I wouldnt choose any of the choices. First off master chief is amazing, so can't go against that. But you can say I have been one before so I wouldn't choose the other two choices either.

My first character evolved into a NCR Ranger eventually once I got my hands on the armour. So me I guess.

I have an NCR character, but he's Ranger, just not a Vet.

Which makes me wonder how old they all are. 40-50? They would have to be 38 at the youngest cause I doubt any of them have been a Ranger since they were 17 and under. The best of the best in the NCR military are most likely past their prime.

I've been trying for this for ages now... but I think I may have to restart and try again, thanks to my accidental killing of that [censored] Cass and consequently everyone else at the Mojave Outpost in the south...

Me. My build is high perception and high luck right now. Shooting for the Desert Ranger Armor with Ranger Combat Helmet. I use Project Nevada and Project Reality and rely on my Ranger Helmet to hunt my enemies with advanced night vision at night. I am using Arwen's over the shoulder camera and perception based accuracy (no auto aim) so I can actually hit a target where I want to hit a target.

Where is the "No, true to Caesar!" and "No, I'm House's errand boy" options?

Thanks. :)

But I am planning on roleplaying as an NCR soldier that got special orders to be part of the Mojave Express as recon for anything suspicious.
Now he needs to find the chip and bring it to his superiors.

He's going to be a corward and chem addict, probably [censored] everything he can as well. (Hello Lucy *wink wink*)
Gonna be fun to RP him.
He'll pretty much hide under a table while everyone else fights at Hoover Dam.

What about an Enclave Remnant working as House's enforcer?

That's my choice. But since I identify with the Enclave much more so than House, I'll pick the Enclave option.

Ive noticed that underneath the armor, alot of the Vet Rangers are ghouls. So, time really has no effect on them when it comes down to it.

OT: I had a character on my first playthrough that was with the NCR. I just didnt want to take the chance to get the vet ranger armor and get slaughtered, still havent taken that chance either. Hmm, maybe I should now though

Mine isn't perfect as I built it before LR and the GRE came out so I want to fine tune the build... Basically hes just a gunner who makes use of the Grunt and Cowboy perks and wears NCR Ranger armor... At least armor that looks like it :)

I roleplay the part as perfect as I can. I always rely on Cowboy weapons as my primary weapons, I'll use dynamite instead of frag grenades. Always have some sort of revolver as my primary weapon. Use the helmet's night vision with Project Nevada to see in the dark nights of Project Reality. I put an emphasis on criticals and being an accurate gunslinger which is why my current traits are trigger discipline and built to destroy. I scout the land extensively and try to bring the rule of law everywhere I go and operating covert operations, like convincing Arcade to bring the Enclave Remnants together in the bunker so I can execute them for being war criminals of the NCR, etc. etc.

There needs to be a "No. Other" response. I'd love to have one of my NCR loyal Couriers wear the black armor, but from a RP standpoint, I just can't do it. None of them have earned that armor. Same goes for the First Recon Beret and the Patrol Armor.

As badass as my old Courier Lyra is, she's never been asked to join the Rangers. So, from Forlorn Hope (Where she got her commission reactivated, AKA "Liked" reputation) all the way to killing Lanius, she wore NCR Bandoleer armor and her old green officer beret.

My newest character I've got is a grizzled old Texas Ranger from a vault he forgot the number of who's siding with the NCR. He respects their cause, and sees them as the right path to get America back on track. He wears Riot Gear, signifiying that he's a ranger, just not NCR. He lives at Wolfhorn Ranch to keep tabs on the enemy at nearby Cottonwood Cove, Caesars Legion Safehouse, and Searchlight.

Same here except I dont execute the Remnants cause they're useful for helping to win the war against the Legion. I whiped out the Hidden Valley bunker only cause the war with the BoS is ongoing and they remain a serious threat so the NCR is better off if they're dead which is why I think you gain NCR infamy if you make the temporary peace between the two factions. My Vet wears the Elite Riot Gear. The Medicine Stick is his primary weapon, the Anti-Material Rifle (GRA) is for sniping and I use the Ranger Sequoia to Run n Gun when I run out of AP.
