I got boared and looked up radiation poison on wikipedia
It say that just up to 50 rads you will get cancer
and 100 you would get serious skin burns
and you will bleed in the mouth and vomit alot
and about 500 rads would make you die within 30 hours
and 1000 is 100% certain death but you wont die
People lasted to live to 5000 radiation
well any way should radiation be more serious than just taking stats off you?
shouldent it make your mouth bleed, make you vomit alot, make you be delirius and have delirium
But yea, radiation wasint that a big deal in fallout 3 and you could just make it go away with some ointment stuff
but really its very diffucult to get rid of it.
It should be more realistic in new vegas

I rest my case

It's a line that has to be walked carefully, what is "fun" to play, and what is realistic.

A silent instamatic death with no warning and no chance to avoid things isn't fun, and some of the effects of real radiation don't translate well into a videogame.

Ok I sometimes think people forget it a game it can't always be 100% realistic I reckon if it had too much graphic stuff like that there would be complaints just like games like manhunt. Me personally wouldn't care but others would.

hmm maybe bleeding from the mouth at 100 rads could be pretty cool in game.(just for added character immersion and the coolness of " OH HAY IM BLEEDING from my mouth! COOL!")

Radiation in the real world is nothing like radiation in game.
