Fallout3 in NV?

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 4:02 am

Greetings forum users.

I recently was gifted by a friend FONV, and i have fallout3 plus ALL the dlcs aswell, but Fallout3 is way and way to full of issues and problems for me, while for some reason FONV runs perfectly fine.

so i was wondering if i can somehow put the content from Fo3 into FONV so i can play FO3 without it crashing, and having all those issues that come with it through FONV?

There must be sone mods out there for that.

If you don't own Fallout 3 and use one if them you'll be considered a pirate, mind you.

yeah i heard of this mod aswell but not too sure if it works well or not. I dont think i would want a split between fallout 3 and new veags tbh.

So basically that mod adds The Capitol Wasteland and the Fallot 3 quests and companions to New Vegas?
Sounds like it may be buggy, but fun.

The only DLC I see mentioned are Anchorage and Broken Steel but I'm going to assume it works if I have Fallout 3 GotY, and all the New Vegas DLC

That would be one hell of a coder if s/he managed to merge both games and not create major bugs and glitches....Hire them if they did :P

Oh my thank you, I might give that one a try, as for piracy, i can assure you i havent pirated fallout3 plus it's DLCs.
But yeah, i hope adding in everything from FO3 to FONV would be such a relief for me, as i even bough the special edition of FO3 and very dissapointed how it kept on crashing and crashing, i never managed to finish the DLCs because of that.

It's possible, that's for sure. NV has everything FO3 has.

I doubt it's entirely legal but I could see the devs let this slide as the mod wouldn't need executables, or any minor detail files. Just the .bsa's and the .esm.

Suffice to say that a group of skilled modders could easily make it happen but the possible legal issues are a considerable problem.

The mod requires to own and have installed both Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

It just merges the gamedata files, adds the code to merge them, and then the map that bridges between them.

Mojave Wasteland is almost all the way across the country from the Capitol Wasteland, but that can be excused when he Rule of Awesome is in effect.
