so, as i'm trying to get a house in riften i need to kill a dragon on northwind summit.
problem is ive already killed that dragon.
what do i need to do to complete the quest anyways?

please help me

sounds like it's bugged forever.. until you make another playthrough.

seems to be if you kill/take a quest item before you get the quest it will never be completed.

That is odd because there was one quest I got something first, and the quest giver asked for it, I jhust talked to him right after and completed it.
Maybe because it was just a item?

could be, theres a select number of quests for certain people that seem to bug and can't be completed unless if your on PC and use console commands.

You don't need to kill a dragon to become the thane of riften. You need to do some little quests for the people of riften, then you speak to the women at the docks who needs a health potion. Talk to her about skooma traders after giving the potion, then tell the jarl, then you will get the quest you need to do.

i did the skooma quest, still can't buy a house =(
