Best Revolver. Let's Settle This.

Practically, That Gun is my favourite - 5.56 ammo is very common, and since I usually also have a rifle or two that uses 5.56 ammo it also means I don't have to carry another ammo type around. Being able to switch between normal, AP and HP is also a plus. But my vote goes to the Mysterious Magnum, for the hilarious music that plays every time you equip and holster it. :disguise:

Was going to vote Ranger Sequoia (obviously the best statistically), but then I remembered that the Mysterious Magnum plays the Mysterious Stranger theme when you draw it. So Mysterious Magnum.

Vote. Lucky gets my vote, although for aesthetics I like the look of the fully modded .357 magnum.

Are you asking what the best revolver is, or what the best looking revolver is?

The ranger sequoia is factually the best revolver/pistol. I don't think that can even be debated. If we are to include pistols my favourite though is the 12.7 pistol fully modded on my professional/sneak build. If not, then I would have to say "That Gun"

I just got all the DLC last week, and currently am playing an EW character, but can't wait to use lil' devil on my next playthough. Too bad cant mod it though :-(

Okay I'm starting to get tired of all of these Ranger Sequoia is the best and that is undebatable comments. It actually is very debatable. The Ranger Sequoia a good gun, but Lucky is the best revolver classed sidearm:
-The Ranger Sequoia has much higher damage
-The Ranger Sequoia has much higher DPS
-The Ranger Sequoia has higher spread
-The Ranger Sequoia has higher crit damage
-Lucky has a much higher chance of getting a crit
-Lucky's ammo is much easier to find
-Lucky has nearly three times as much HP
-Lucky is much easier to get and can be gotten much earlier
-Lucky fires much quicker
-Lucky reloads much quicker
-Lucky uses nearly half the amount of AP in VATS
-Lucky has a magazine of 6 instead of 5
-Lucky has a Strength requirement of 3 instead of 6 and has a Guns requirement of 0 instead of 75
-Lucky weighs 2.5 lbs instead of 4 lbs
-Lucky is an improved holdout weapon

I like Lucky more, but the Ranger Sequoia is still a decent gun. A sidearm is something I use to shoot things when I'm caught off guard and need to draw quickly, something that's fairly easy to maintain and most importantly something that won't take up a lot of space. The Ranger Sequoia is a hand cannon, but I'd much rather use my 45-70 Govt. rounds for the Medicine Stick or Cass' Brush Gun. I myself am already carrying around a fully modded Hunting Rifle, I have no use for a mid to short range hand cannon.

Mysterious Magnum, statistically is it the best? I dunno. But... the theme song, Ranger Sequoia has nothing on those theatrics.

Tough choice for me between Lucky and That Gun. I chose Lucky, because it is a tremendous help in the early game.
Yeah, you can get That Gun early too, if you want, but I always take my time before arriving in Novac.
By the time you can get your hands on a Ranger Sequoia, I have better stuff at my disposal

Don't get your panties in a wad. When OP asked what the BEST revolver was, I was answering from the perspective of stopping power. If I had a Deathclaw bearing down on me and all I had in my inventory was Lucky and a Ranger Sequoia, six .357 rounds and five .45-70 rounds, I am going to the Sequoia. I would not be concerned about whether my strength or guns skill is up to snuff.

May the OP should have asked what everyone's favourite revolver is.

There is no best revolver. There is no best weapon, there are simply the best weapons for a given situation. I consider Lucky to be more useful then the Ranger Sequoia because of all of the points I mentioned and that it covers more situations. The Ranger Sequoia is better then Lucky for taking down a charging deathclaw, but against say a radscorpion, a Freeside Thug or a Viper ambush party(which are all far more common occurrences) the Ranger Sequoia is unwieldy and serious overkill. I personally prefer to not judge weapons by their damage alone, it's one of the reasons why I carry around a fully modded Hunting Rifle instead of an AMR or I choose to use the CZ57 Avenger instead of an LMG.

the 44 magnum its light the requirements are low and ammunition is relatively easy to come by and you reload all 6 shots at once as opposed to one at a time like with lucky and the 357.

We are not going to get an real accurate result here, the match of those revolvers, only will fit with players combat style, not possible to get the real answer, but all what we can get is,what most players use as revolver, someone want me to explain this better?

When I use a revolver, it's almost always going to be either the Police Pistol from Dead Money or Lucky. If I am playing with mods, they might be replaced by a little silver .22 Revolver. As far as I am concerned, a Revolver is my sidearm, which means it needs to be light & have common ammunition more than it needs stopping power. I have yet to use the Hunting Revolver, Ranger Sequoia, or Mysterious Magnum.

The ranger sequoia. Bada$$ looks bada$$ power. And lighter than a brush gun. My revolver of choice and btw. On very easy nothing short of a giant scorpion and a death claw will be annihilated in the most gory fashion possible

That Gun.
Fires 5.56 AP, 2.5x crit multiplier, and the ONLY Revolver with a reasonably fast reload time. My side arm of choice.
Oh, and it's by far the coolest gun of them all. That reload sound alone is just awesome

At this point of my sidearm based playthrough(one handed guns to be more specific) i use a combination of lucky loaded with HP rounds and that gun loaded with AP rounds.I haven't ran into any deathclaws but ill be carrying a hunting revoler instead of the ranger seqoia cuz i dont want to be related to profligates.

No love for the minigun? It is the best revolving weapon bar none! :P

Ranger Sequoia is great and all, but it is not very good for fast drawing enemies that ambush you. The police pistol is pretty damn nifty for that kind of stuff.

I still think the best revolver is the minigun, because it reloads fast, has great range, uses common ammunition, and generally FUBARs anything I point it at!
