I have a chest in my own house where I store my stuff, but when I have to find something, I get one huge list of items without any categories, like "weapons, apparel, misc", etc. Is there a way to enable those categories?
No. It's horrendous UI design. Have fun with the Magic Chest of Random Sorting +3...
P.S. I use different containers to keep things of only one category in each, is a little easier than scrolling and lagging down a list of 1000+ pieces of junk...
Just found this http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1227 but it looks like it requires http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1288179-wipz-skyrim-script-extender-skse/ I am not sure if it's a good idea, because it says:
1. Copy the .dll and .exe files to your Skyrim directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder under Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\. If you see files named TESV and SkyrimLauncher, this is the correct folder. Do not copy these files to the Data folder as with a normal mod. The "src" folder is only useful for programmers, most users can ignore it.
2. Launch the game via running skse_loader.exe. <--- this one bothers me
