ITS DRIVING ME INSANE!!!! I CANT GO INTO MY FREAKING HOUSE!!!!

to be able to use my own home i had to resort to murdering her, and now i cant remarry! i only ever married her because when i got the amulet of mara and went to whiterun to marry rio i bumped into her first and gave her the stupid mammoth tusks and she wanted to marry me after. i was like eh sure, ill just kill her with the ebony blade later and go get rio, but i was so fracking wrong!

Things for Bethesda to fix witha patch in the hopefully near future:
Fix the problems causing wives to constantly loop their speech.
Allow remarrying.

Simple fixes, if you guys cant do it please let me know, ill buy a plane ticket to wherever you guys need me to go and do it myself!

You chose to marry her, it was your choice and now she's your bruden.

Seems neither of you even bothered to read what the OP even put...but to be honest I truely couldnt care if they did add that or not...I havent and likely never will marry in skyrim, never needed to in anyother TES, seems like they just added it to the pixel droolers really..-cough- bioware -cough- the whole "marrying" thing in this game in My eyes is rather stupid anyway, so I would be alright if they took it out altogether, HOWEVER if i was in your spot I would agree, it should be able to re marry anyway I guess..not that I give a [censored] lol

well i wanted to marry rio from the companions guild because she can be a shopkeeper AND a follower. i only went with ysolda becasue i already had the ebony blade and planned on using it on her and then remarrying.

I like what #2 said about her being my burden... lvl 47 now, cant really start over or revert that far back...

Marrying gives you access to a store that never closes as your wife becomes a shopkeeper, plus you get 100 gold a day from her just because... you also get a six bonus for sleeping with her (as long as you're not a werewolf, since the bonus counts as a rest bonus)... so yeah, its definately worth marrying in this game, they're just small benifits, but they're nice ones. As for Ysolda... she's my wife, too... but I don't find her at all annoying. I guess thats becasue I play it on the PS3 and she's never gotten stuck in that speach loop (thank god). But even then, its just a game glitch... its not like Ysolda was trying to piss you off.

Poor Ysolda, she's lovely. I'm waiting for that special Imperial girl though  Some Solitude Imperial ladies are high up on my list :celebration:

And yes, remarriage should be vanilla.

I used Dead Thrall on my annoying wife...she is a bit more silent, and a lot more compliant now. She sleeps when I do not need her.

Ria can still be your follower if she's not married to you... so why do you NEED to be married to her exactly?

This game represents what divorces is like in real life... You can't get into your own house that you paid for, and you don't get any of your stuff in your house, and must resort to killing your spouce to get your stuff back lol. If your a guy anyway. Women always win in the divorce. :obliviongate:

The up sides to marrying:

You get a new store

You get a constant income of gold

Really, you can get married just to have a place to sell items and a constant income of gold, and they don't have to live with you, you can tell them to live at their house. Which brings me to the OP, you could of just told her to live at her old house, and then you'd have Breezehome to yourself again.

never thought of that. i stopped talking to her when she started looping. eventually i stopped going into the house alltogether. i killed her, and in retrospect that was the right thing to do.

Well said, totally agree =) Been playing TES games since Morrowind and it seems like a rather unusual addition to the series, seems to me like they are testing the waters for future TES games..but as it stands now,why bother? All it gives are small buffs and another annoying companion in your house lol Perhaps im biased in that regard though..i dont even use the normal companions and wish there was some way i could get all those damn housecarls out of my various houses..i wish to set them freeeeeeeee (without having to murder them) lol ie..go away! get out of my house! shoo shoo ! lol

NO. Bethesda should not have to add a remarry feature. This would prompt people to cycle through marriages as they cycle through dungeons on killing sprees. This is wrong on so many levels. If you plan on killing your spouse, don't put on the Mara Amulet.

Bethesda should fix any marriage bugs and give marriages more depth and communication.

Skyrim is preparing you for your own marriage is all.

If you can't handle simple nag in a game boy you better be single forever.

Just saying.

Ha, love most of these responses. Obsen, I married ysolda because in my excitement to try to get married I didn't want to wait till I was done with companion quests. She was a money source and that is all. I can only speak for myself, but I don't cycle through women. Ingame or in life. Ysolda was a test and after playing games like fable I was positive that I would be able to dump her later. I was wrong and 39 levels later I find myself with a broken wife and no way to marry the girl I want to.
