I'm currently in the large room, everyone has arrived and they say they are waiting on me to take my seat......yet I've sat down and nothing is happening. I've tried standing up and sitting down again probably like 10 times, yet to no avail. What's going on??.....How can I fix this?

Try waiting for 48 hours (fast wait).

you might wanna put this in the spoiler section and add some more info regarding where, when, what did you do to get there etc.

Take a different seat? is this part of the MQ? If its the part I'm thinking of you should be at the "head" of the table.

wasn't it mentioned or shown where you should sit? I know i didn't even try another place

you're suppose to sit at the end seat. Otherwise, it's a bug. Waiting 48 hours may help.

Alright here's the deal. I'm trying to bring peace to Skyrim by forcing the Stormcloaks and the Imperials to work together to take down Alduin. To do that you need to get them to come to a peace talk up at High Hrothgar. I've completed what I've needed to, and the new objective is to "Take my seat"......I've taken my seat and nothing is happening. Everyone's just standing around like a bunch of potatoes.

Talk to people? I think you need to talk to one of the Greybeards. I haven't done that one in a while though so I may be wrong.

Also if you want to bypass the quest

Though it might be to late for that.

UPDATE: I just waited 48 hours and tried taking my seat at the marked chair at the head of the table, yet nothing is happening. God dammit. It seems as though peace talks are impossible. War is inevitable.
