Sell something to them for 5 gold, and then sell it back for 50 gold. They got me good.

The only kind of revenge I can think of is...Transmute spell. Get it, fight back and empty their pockets even further!

makes you feel okay about robbing them blind when they're back is turned. As for in the game, well they're pretty cheap too.

Or considering you get about 40 tons of crap on any given mission, just buy them... again.

The Transmute spell is the best spell in the game. It doesn't need to level or change. It does exactly what it's supposed to.

This was pretty funny, OP.

As a person who's worked at a department store in the past, trust me, it's not just gamestop that does this. I know the store cost of a lot of things, and it's nowhere near what it'll cost a customer. Some things are hilariously overpriced, especially small electronic stuff. And then there are things sold below store cost, that are really just there to bring people in to waste money on other things.

Gamestop is pretty terrible though, hopefully online services will put them out of business sooner rather than later.

We have been discussing this on BGSFans. I don't think it is possible in this game to get many items at their actual value. unless you invest a lot of perks in it. That didnt use to be the case in Morrowind. bartering was lot better with a haggling system.

Oh well, once you got a fair level on alchemy and speech, you can make gold off of alchemy that the alchemists could have done themselves, also enchanting is pretty similar for most the other shops, enchanted items can make stupid amounts of golds for things some of these people should have been able to do themselves =P.

yes. put a fear enchantment on an iron dagger.

make random potions based off ingredients that alchemists have.

While you can profit from these, you can't fully be a merchant by trade.

That's why i liked Mount&Blade so much. You could ride to 'X' and buy 'Z' and then sell 'Z' at 'C' for amazing profits.

In a game I still have called Freelancer, you could buy something like food or medical supplies and sell them to large profits in other areas based off of supply in demand.
