Favourite Casino?

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 1:19 am

First off, hi, first topic. Don't hurt me.

Right then, I'm pretty sure a good portion of those of you reading this have played Fallout New Vegas (just a guess), which means that you know about the casinos in the Strip/Freeside/Primm/DLC, and have probably frequented most if not all of them. So which one would you consider your favourite out of all of them? Me personally, having been banned from all of the casinos (thank you Naughty Nightwear), I'm partial to the Tops. I dig the laid back atmosphere, I like the style and aesthetics of the Chairmen (which means I like the aesthetics of the Omertas by extension I guess), and as the top prize for money earned you get a spiffy room. The Ultra-Luxe is a bit dull after I've finished Beyond the Beef, and while I like the mobster thing Gomorrah has going on, I got lost doing the quest there for Cachino, which put me off of going back for a bit. Vikki and Vance doesn't have much to it from what I've seen, and I usually just go to the Wrangler if I'm loading up on whiskey and scotch.

'Bout you?

Tops of course, mostly because of the Aces theater shows.

The Ultra-Luxe, mainly cause its so elegantly decorated and the people are so civilized. :whistling:
People who completed Beyond the Beef, I'm looking at you.
But still, its really nice.

For me it has to be Gommorah, it's just a den of the right kind of sin. Although I find it hard to resist killing the omertas. I think the Ultra Lux is the best looking casino. And all I I like about the Tops is the Aces Theatre I've yet to see The Sierra Madre and Vicki & Vance casino is pretty useless.

Gomorrah is so sleazy that I can almost smell the sweat and six through the computer screen.... but the Ultra-Luxe goes a bit too far in the other direction with their annoying affectations of class. The guys at the Tops are a little cheesy, sure... but in a likable way.

The Wrangler and Vikki and Vance just simply cannot compete with either of the three Strip casinos in terms of style.

Gomorrah.

The reasons are pretty obvious, it seems to me.

Define favorite? I like gommaroh for it's mobster type feel, and tops for gambling and Vegas type feel. 500 hours of NV and I got a total of prob 1 hr in the UL. That place freaks me out.

Needed another choice- none of the above. I hate all the casinos. They are the least interesting places in the game, for me. I'll take each and any rocky crag, tumbleweed infested stretch of desert, or dark, dangerous cave, over one of those. Nuke 'em? Fine with me.

The tops cuz its the tops! :tops:

Seriously though i go for the tops cuz i like the suite in the first floor, cuz i can carry my guns inside the place, cuz i dig the 50's slang and cuz of the aces theater's shows.

Gomorah is, well its not the friendliest place and the omertas are [censored]s.

The ultra-luxe is way to classy and those guys are way to formal and polite and a freaky diet when it comes to meat.

Well, I've been kicked out of every single one. (I made a character called Lucky, gave him 10 LUCK, And killed what's-his-face (The one who has the chip) and took his clothes)

But my favourite is the tops, mainly because that's where I started to win big!

As a casino? The Tops, indeffinately. More class, has a sweet vibe to it, even though the guards scare me a bit when the call me "baby".

But, on the other hand... the 'Madre is basically Rapture 300 years in the future.

The Tops. Just about everything that's needed for a Casino atmosphere and a swag little theater to boot.

I'll have to say the Tops. I like the 50s vibe.

The Gomorrah..... Well, if you are into Ghoul six slaves or just six slaves in general, it's the place for you.

And the UL just creeps the hell out of me. It's like one of those horror movies gone wrong. Everyone is nice and polite and next thing you know you're running from a psychopath.

The Sierra Madre.
There's no "Na-hey! There's the high roller." And it's quite luxurious.

I'd also like the ability to simply rent cheaper rooms in the Casinos, rather than having to "win" a room.
