How do they not have poker in this game. I would have loved that. maybe some high profile NPC's could have been high rollers and good card players. It could have been a cool feather in your cap to say, yeah, I beat Ceaser in poker, bluffed him and won. Or Red Lucy or whatever her name was had someone killed because they had beat her house with a four of a kind.

It sure would have been a helluva lot more fun than caravan. That game is teh suk. I'd have actually stopped to play some honest poker with the npc's.

As long as your looting corpses and making your rounds to the traders you'll be fine. Values will increase and by level 10 you should have a few thousand caps. I'm at level 13 with only 7K but that's because I buy ammo and stims every chance I have. A high repair and barter skill never hurts either.

Best thing to scaenage are - Cartons of Cigerettes, Fission Battieries, Deathclaw Eggs - and any other eggs, All guns you come across and with Jury Rigger you can repair them to 100% CND and then sell them for big bucks

Make your way to Novac and do the rocket quest. I forget what it's called, Come fly with me, maybe? Who knows, I always get a ton of caps off that quest anyway, a lot of expensive stuff to repair and sell there.

caravan is more fun than poker. poker is all about luck, no skill needed. selecting what cards to play in the deck takes some skill. there is nothing like turning a 26 into a 27, for the other player. you can't do that playing blackjack or poker.

Scavenging is going to be the big one it gets you seed money for the easier and faster methods, a high repair 90 for jury rigger and barter allow you to drastically increase your profits. Gambling with a luck of 7 or higher and you can clear all of the casinos fairly easily netting you around 40k, black jack is the quickest for me slot and roulette are far too luck based and the lowered betting amounts only even out if your getting high payout every 4 or so hands. Caravan is easy once you get the hang of it and a good way to shop for free since buying from a vendor increases what their willing to wager finding a deck strategy that works for you is the biggest hurdle. Once you hit the mid and upper levels enemy gear becomes especially lucrative with a decent repair you can turn a few beat up weapons into a pile of caps, its especially easy with jury rigger repairing high end weapons with low end ones even if your buying them ie a 12.7mm smg repaired with a boughten 9mm smg will net you more than if unrepaired in bad condition.

Maybe, but from what I've heard, Caravan is a pretty sure thing, once you figure it out. I prefer games of chance, where you actually have to play smart *and* get a bit lucky, to win. Gambling in NV is just a free (and quite boring) way to haul in buckets of caps.

Caravan can be a sure thing by stacking your deck, but it ceases to be fun if you do that. That's why I always press Randomize Deck before every game.
