Skyrim's Lack of Touch Spells does not Amuse Me

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 5:51 am

Is anyone else upset with the lack of touch spells? I was really looking forward to them. Discuss.

Why touch anything when you can use telekenesis to bring things to you. :spotted owl:

But wouldn't it be cool to sneak up behind someone and freeze them solid with one touch?

OR, OR, ORRRR, to jam an icicle through their skull with one touch :o

WTF dude. You can mass paralyze a huge area, essentially paralyzing all your enemies and your complaining about not being able to touch the person and paralyze them...

You'll be paralyzed and an axe in your face, before you even have a little spark with your puny destruction magic. You cannot beat an alteration master.

It was taken out because mages were threatened with a lawsuit for "inappropriate touching".

I press my characters hands into my enemies face with storm wall until they turn into ash. Kind of works like a touch spell.

i have nothing against playing to suit your style, but it wouldn't be easier (and less strange) to just use storm wall as it was intended to be used?

Bandit1: Ha mage! iv'e got you now!

Mage: oh no you don't! *presses hand to the bandits face*

Bandit1: *muffled screams of pain and agony*

Bandit2: Whats that weirdo doing to joey?!?!!?

Bandit3: i don't know but it's weird! we better get out here before he starts rubbing his hand in our faces!

Yeah I've never found them interesting. They just seem ... unnecessary.
