Can someone give me a step-by-step on creating a new charact

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 3:22 am

When I struggled with my mage a while back, I decided to switch to a warrior ... and since then I realize what I did wrong with the mage --- lol. Anyway, I followed the advice back then and simply started a new character, so the last log file for the mage is now a few hundred back there. If I want to go back to him or to start a new mage altogether, I understand there's a way to create two separately running log files and use two instances of the game so that I can switch back and forth between characters without searching log files or losing progess. Heck, I can't even find where the log files are stored on my computer --- so I need it explained to me in noob terms.

Thanks guys

I do it by making a note of the save number when I intend to exit one character and play as another. To go back to that character I just reload that save.

Save files display the characters name and race, assuming you dont play the same race using the same name on multiple files you should be able to tell them apart that way.

But you must say it's a bad saving system.

I can't understand why you didn't split the savegames up by character, it wouldn't be that hard...

When I'm done playing one character and want to switch to the other, I like to swivel the camera around to focus on my character's face. Then I create a save point (or overwrite a previous one) and the save will display whatever was on your screen. In this case, all my saves are pictures of my character's face. I can usually find the save I'm looking for very quickly this way.

It isn't like there are any stats or skills to pick during character creation. They're all the same.
