I have never used console commands (Skyrim is my first PC game), and I want to make sure it won't disrupt any of my gameplay or my saves, as long as I load my save before I used the commands. Thanks.

Console commands don't affect previous saved games.

The console will not effect your saves. Load a save, play with the console, close the game, and it's as if you never used the console.

Should always keep many saves. If you want to name your save something more informative, you can use the console and type: save ie: save BeforeIfiddledWithTheConsole

Some console commands can cause your game to crash. Nothing should damage a saved game.

It affects the steam achievements, and you dont get them after you've run a console command, unless you restart the game.

Not true. I use TGM all the time and I still get the achievements. But honestly, who the he'll actually cares about them anyway.

I've always heard that using a console command in any steam game will nullify achievements made until you restart. [shrug] And I kind of like getting them, even though I don't call my parents and excitedly tell them I finished the Thieves guild quests.
