hey!

When I want to break up and go with the caravan (right in the beginning, after I left my stuff), the game always crashes. I never had any problems running Fallout NV, neither with dead money.
Anyone an idea?

So you went into the cave and met up with the caravan? Did you remove your gear and see the intro video before arriving at Zion? I've been having a crashing problem around this point. I get to see the video and it runs fine but once I get there it crashes. At first it would crash before Jed said anything but after re-downloading Dead Money/Honest Heart I had a whole new slew of problems. The positive I got out of it is after removing a lot of mods I got it working somewhat again. I made it to Zion twice without crashing. I might of stumbled across fixing it cause I did something else and it stopped working. Look first whatever you do try to to do the validate game cache thing if you can. That was listed in one of the above post but it hurt my game. It re-downloaded my dlc but all my mods that used the dlc as masters stopped working properly. I was getting a lot of graphical glitches. I think I might have solved my problem though and it might help you if you use similar mods. See I play in hardcoe mode and play with a timescale mod also. Not only did I adjust the timescale but also the hunger/thirst/sleep rate. I think since traveling from New Vegas to Zion takes so long the primary Needs build up to the point that it kills your character and your game crashes. I tested this once and it worked. Revert your time scale and hunger, etc settings to the default values or disable hardcoe and it might solve the crashing problem. If not your might have to disable some mods if your having texture overload issue. I've been at this for hours and I think I finally figured it out for my problem so I hope this helps you.
