They will always treat you like [censored] anyway. Bastards wont even respect other high elves.

I haven't come across any way to actually involve myself on the same side as the Thalmor - so I think trying to do so is just going to be an exercise in futility.

If you really want to RP an Altmer I'd go with one which has been banished (popular punishment - forcing the sentenced to live among lesser beings), preferably for doing something suitably evil/dubious - perhaps involving dual casting conjuration and a dead chicken...?

There's a quest in Markarth involving rooting out a Talos worshipper for a Thalmor agent located in Understone Keep, but that's about it.

The civil war is tricky because the Thalmor ideally want it to last as long as possible. However helping the empire would give more RP opportunities maybe because the empire would control the whole province and you could crack down on Talos worship, whereas if you were cracking down in Stormcloak held areas well that wouldn't make much sense because you couldn't have any political backing. I was thinking if you were on the PC you could use the console to "shut down" the various Talos temples about the place by locking the doors, throwing the items about the place, and of course you would have to kill the priests and the Whiterun preacher. Helping the Stormcloaks would be a no no, despite a weakened empire you would not want a powerful independent Talos-worshipping Skyrim either, which would prove to be a huge thorn in the Thalmor's side in the future.

As for Talos shrines in the wilderness you could take away all the offerings there or something...

Hummm you could make up your own "hit list" of Talos worshippers about the place (Nords like Gerdur for example) and go around taking them out and enforcing the will of the Aldmeri Dominion! :flamethrower:

Just some ideas... a tricky RP this one. A pity, would be nice if there was more Thalmor content in game.

So ive been interested in creating a thalmor mage just for the fun of it, and im wondering if anyone can help me accomplish this. I was thinking of doing a high elf agent coming to skyrim who slowing works his way up in the thalmor. So if anyone has some ideas on things like where to live what quests to do and how to get elven armor early would help. I was thinking of doing the DB but i wont spoil it and say exactly why. Also im wondering if i should do a civil war side, perhaps the stormcloaks to weaken the empire.

That's actually what I'm playing right now. I can't help you to get elven armor but I do know where you can get Thalmor robes immidiately after the Helgen Keep. There is a shrine of Talos near the standing stones you see when coming from Helgen. Just turn left to follow the path before the standing stones. At the shrine you can find dead pilgrims and one dead Thalmor agent.
I have a few missions I'm doing for the Thalmor:
- Kill all the Talos worshipers. (I have already assinated both priests at The Temple of Talos in Windhelm)
- Slaughter some civilians at farms/mills so it's looks like the cruelty of Imperial Legion.
- Weaken the Imperials by assinating all their nobles you can see.
I have also joined in Dark Brotherhood to use it as scapegoat to hide connection between murders and Thalmor.

I also wrote following commands to console:
player.addtofaction 00039f26 0
player.addtofaction 000b5e16 -1
player.addtofaction 0005450b -1

The first one adds player to be a member of ThalmorFaction.
Two others just makes it sure player is not a part of Thalmor-Enemy factions

Also you could get elven armour by console killing a Thalmor soldier, either the ones you get wandering around or there is usually one up at the Thalmor embassy.

Yes and if you wait a few levels (I was somewhere near lvl10) and then go to Whiterun and talk to the Jarl about the dragon in Helgen he gives you an elven armor.

Make sure the Empire doesn't crush the stormcloaks, but also don't let the stormcloaks win. Keep the province divided and thus the Empire weak, so as to prepare for the upcoming Second Great War. Desecrate the shrines of Talos found in the wild.

Also, wait for mods. I'm all but sure that one of Skyrim's 'big' mods will be an alternative, Thalmor-based main quest, or something of the sort (like Joining the Mythic Dawn was for Oblivion).

Depends, are you an out in the open Thalmor or a sympathiser/deep cover agent/would be deep cover agent?

That would affect it a bit. The Stormcloaks would probably be less than welcoming of an open Thalmor supporter. The Empire has strained diplomatic relations with them so you could probably RP a justification of why a Thalmor would be willing to work with them during the civil war and why the Empire would, grudgingly accept.

Far easier I imagine to go the sympathiser/undercover agent. The Thalmor would probably like the war to drag on, but if that isn't possible (because you want to do the main quest and there are no mods to change the options yet) a Stormcloak victory would probably be better for them as it robs the Empire of another province and probably raises tensions and bad blood between them (such as Hammerfall and the Empire), plus the Nords might, under Ulfrics leadership, get on poorly with non-Nords, thus creating tension there.

How you would role play it depends on the role you are taking.
