Who did you join: Stormcloaks or Legion?

Now where did I say your argument was the Empire being evil? Hmm, something about putting words in peoples' mouths. The issue we were talking about is whether the Empire is racist or not. In that, obviously they wouldn't be perfect and there would be racists within it. It would be unbelievable if there weren't. You're equivocating the two when they're very far apart. That is where I called your anolysis into question.

Yeah, I re-read your post and saw what you were saying, but I was too lazy to change it after I typed all that up *whistles*. I get what you're saying and you do have a point, though I'm not sure that I agree that the racism in the Stormcloaks is QUITE so systematic as to drive the entire culture. We'll really have to see as the story progresses. It does seem from what I've seen that the Nords above all respect deeds and hard work, and if enough non-Nord races step up and show how great they are, they could win a nice place in Skyrim. Also, the dark-elf helping guy in Windhelm needs to stop whining to random people who enter the city and take his grievances to Ulfric already.

Anyway, I concede the argument to you. If you were a High King I totally wouldn't even murder you.

He does and Ulfric ignores him saying the war comes first and the other problems later.

Ah, really? Every time I talk to him he says something along the lines of, "I'd tell him but he probably wouldn't listen!"

First character was a nord, after i met ulfric and saw his little speech how could i not support him? Plus the imperials tried to execute me in the beginning...and thats not the best way to get the dragonborn on your side.

Also as its been mentioned the thalmor are using ulfric's rebellion, not ulfric. They even say that it would be bad if the stormcloaks claim victory

I've played both campaigns though, they are pretty much mirrors of each other, just different characters and colors

I think he does say that after he tried to talk to Ulfric about the Grey Quarter, but he realized Ulfric wouldn't do anything to help the Dunmer/Argonians anyway.

stormcloaks.

at first, they seemed like a 2 bit gang of idiots, fighting with no just cause(like the Iraqi insurgents), but later, i saw they were truly noble men with a just cause, and true inspiration( like the IRA). they live under imperial rule (which has done nothing but decay since the empire began splitting)hating it, but tolerating. then, their greatest god talos, a true man turned legend, turned god, is stripped from their lives like nothing. this, only because the once great empire was subdued to the treacherous high elves, truely showed how week the legion now is. in order to control what honor they have left, the stormcloaks refuse to become weak like their siblings in cyrodil.

Stormcloaks, I want to be able to worship Talos without some arrogant High Elf group dragging my carcuss to the nearest examination area.

Stormcloaks.

I don't respect the emperor, hes unworthy to rule an empire.

Stormcloaks hate the Thalmor so much that they're willing to fight their way through the Empire in order to get to the Elves. Its questionable strategy, but at least their leader has a solid pair of balls.

Agreed.

I was pro Stormcloaks at first.
After I gathered knowledge on the topic I was undecided, but tended more towards the Empire.
When I finally finished the DB-questline I knew that the Empire in it's current condition is just worthless and It would be pathetic for Skyrim to be part of this crippled shadow of it's former self.
Banning Talos was just another pathetic decision of Mede. Talos was the founder of the Empire and now it's like Mede is (well, for me actually WAS) denying the heritage of everything he stood for.
The White-Gold Concordant was the biggest mistake Mede could've made.
