Over Abundance of Dragon Souls ?

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 3:45 pm

I currently have 55 out of 60 dragon shouts mastered. But I have at the present time 26 dragon souls. Most named dragons are no longer giving me souls, though the ancient ones still do. So my question is what are we supposed to do with the extra souls? Maybe a nice thing would be to use them in soul gems or have I missed something here?

You don't have to kill every dragon you see. Also, it sounds to me like you're ready to roll another character.

They clearly did not think it through very well. Too many dragons, with overabundant scales/bones/souls = worthless.

We should have had a chance of getting 1, or a piece of a dragons scale and bones, and had to combine them for use later...along with a chance of getting 0 bones or 0 scales. Also, each dragon word should have required more than one dragon soul to unlock, with the possibility of weaker dragons, and dragons not killed by the player's final blow awarding fragmented souls that have no use.

Why? Why drag on unlocking shouts, a large lure in the game, needlessly? And it is needlessly. There are unlimited dragons always, this would change nothing but make it a hassle to enjoy a major part of the game.

Its not like you have a choice when you're attacked. Either way I was just wanting to know if there was something that I was missing along the way or if Bethseda had plans down the road. If not this is somethign to consider when we get the CK

I'm curious where ya'll keep seeing all these dragons at. I'm almost 90 hours into my character and I've killed 6 dragons. I saw another one flying once, but it wouldn't land and fight me.

You should be able to soul trap dragon souls in special "dragon only" gems, then used those to enchant crazy crap. But then people would complain that it was op, so yeah....

I'm at 205 hrs right now and finished the main quest as well as a lot of the others. Still have to decide what side I'm going to pick for the civil war and a number of quests that were broken. Not sure if seeing a lot of dragons depends on where you are in relation to the MQ. But I see them all the time, usually get attacked at least once a day if I fast travel to small towns and such. A lot just fly on by, some are busy attacking wild animals or other characters. Sometimes I just stand on top of mountains and look around in the valley below and I usually see one or two dragons.

It would be nice if you could use dragon souls like Varla Stones from Oblivion.

There is also a mod that lets you trade 2, 3, 5, or 10 dragon souls(Depending on the .ini file) for a single perk point, which is pretty awesome.

Um.

#1, it affects gameplay non whatsoever.
#2, who cares? It's a number in your screen on a sub menu. Why in the world does it matter?

For every dragon you kill, you get a soul. Don't need em? Kay? It's absolutely pointless to even think about.

I feel a bit let down by the shouts , I ask Arngeir (a pain in the butt to find him in) why do the other Whisper , well if they were to speak normally he says their voice would tear a man apart ..same with the line about the King being killed by a shout .. My backside ! there is no shout that can do this ...
