I was adventuring north of windhelm and came across a stray dog getting attacked by a frost troll. So me being the animal lover that I aam, I rescued the dog. Now most of the stray dogs I found ingame kindof do their own thing but this one followed me and actually started attacking things I was like a companion. I then clicked on the dog and he had the wait here/time to go home menu. So I figured he was now my companion. Anyway, I start running along and come upon the abandoned lighthouse and see a dead horse on the ground. I turn around and see the dog in the distance walking towards my location, so I wait for him. Iloot some meat off the dead horse and when the dog finally get to me he lays down at my feet. I then drop the horse meat on the ground thinking how cool it would be if he ate it and thats when the [censored] hit the fan.

I dropped the meat then the dog starts growling. Then all the sudden he turns hostile and starts opening a can of whoopass on me! Now I`m lvl 56 with 400 hp and this dog was taking like 1/4 health each time it bit me. I was like WTF! I saved you and fed you! So I try to run because I wanted to try and clear aggro and get my companion back. This dog wouldn`t give up. He chased me for what seemed forever taking chunks out of my behind. I finally had to stop and put him down with the ebony warhammer. I laughed afterwards but wondered what the heck could have caused that? Anyone else eveer experiance anything as strange as that with a companion or a stray dog?

I remember one day when going through Riften with Cicero and my spectral assassin when a thief pops out and Cicero kills him. He didn't stop there though and he went on a rampage, killing a plethora of people before I decided to reload.

Considering its Cicero here, i don't think thats unusual at all

Ok, so maybe skimming posts isn't always helpful.. :rolleyes:

I myself haven't seen that many stray dogs doing much. Meeko the dog was my first companion because I wanted a shed in the woods as my first home. Turns out there was already a corpse (Meeko's owner) in the bed though so I at first dumped it into the woods. Then I had a massively good idea , or a brainfart - you decide - and resurrected the body thinking reconnecting Meeko with his beloved owner might give me the joy of seeing a couple of tail wiggles. Stupid mutt didn't give me anything, no reaction at all. And to make matters worse, 60 seconds later I had a pile of dirty zombie ash on the damn floor of my new home.
