Bug: Game awards Perk only every OTHER level up! -help? : Fallout: New Vegas

Does anyone else have the this problem - the game only awards the PERKs on the EVEN level ups - I get the skill points but no perks - so no perks for level 3,5,7,9 etc

Is this just me - do they know about this issue?

FO 1 & 2 awarded perks in this manner. Believe they went back to the every second level system for NV.

That isn't a bug, that's by design. However there is a mod out at NVNexus that allows you to get a perk every level.

Haha its not a bug dude, its supposed to be like that. Im glad, before it seemed too.. i dunno.. easy?

Not a bug, that's the way it's suppose to be pick a new perk every other level up.

Thanks to all who reported - I came to the series with F3 so I thought it was ever level up - which I think is better - but if that is the way it is supposed to be - well o.k

I actually prefer the way they're doing it in NV to the way they did it in FO3. They got rid of all the trivial little perks in favor of perks that are more interesting/useful. I think getting them less frequently is a good trade-off.
