Lesser known facts about Skyrim

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 11:53 am

4. There are technically no Dragons in this game, Dragons have 4 legs and 2 wings, while Wyverns have 2 legs and 2 wings (Like in Skyrim). Wyverns are a subspecies of dragon which normally has has four limbs. The wyvern has wings instead of arms, much like a bird or a pterosaur and also Wyverns have also been known for their body length, which is unusually longer than a dragon's.

Not in TES, they're called dragons here because there are no wyverns otherwise.

It's like saying there are no trolls in Skyrim just three-eyed gorillas because trolls only have two eyes...

Chinese dragons are long have 0 wings and 4 legs so technically they're sausage dogs.

Edit: They are also not in Skyrim.

I would love a sausage dog mod! I would love to hear the Dragonborn theme kick in as A 40ft Dachshund came lolloping up to me trying to lick me to death...

I am the sausage dog born!

Get on it, community...

This may be a lesser known fact to some people. The argonians and khajit you see in the game are the 'intelligent' beings of their race. A good number of argonians and khajits are straight up beasts who can't talk or walk on 2 legs.

Correct me if any of my facts are wrong.

A wyvern is a dragon but a dragon is not a wyvern.

Like how a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not a square.

Draugr actually talk to each other, it was actually kinda creepy when I first saw it.
There was two of them facing each other and making strange guttural noises, it was spooky.
I searched it up in the Library at the College, and it turns out that Draugr in fact have been documented to speak with each other in a language we do not understand, quite interesting if I do say so myself! :D

They do use shouts and dragon language, but if you sneak up on them while they're communicating, it's a sort of low guttural thing. Hard to explain. MIght be dragon language, but just... old and undead sounding.
