DLC--War?

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 7:50 am

I want to see a war with the Aldmeri Dominion in future DLC. Should you journey to Cyrodil to help fight off the Elves? Maybe invade an Elven land yourself? Or perhaps Skyrim is simply flooded with those Talos haters?

I think the war with the Dominion (which is definitely coming) is to big for DLC.

The last war (when the Empire was in a better position) saw an entire Legion destroyed, all the others severely battered (most of thje remaining ones, if not all, were reduced to below half strength) and an entire Thalmor force destroyed.

It should be epic.

Some Thalmor DLC (like them as a joinable faction) - now that I would like to see.

Yeah i think if they do a "war" DLC it would be pretty bad. Like just look at the civil war questline, the most generic shallowest questline in the game.
Im not saying i wouldnt want it, because a giant war would be sweet. But as far as wars and sieges and the like go, bethesda doesnt do a very good job implementing in the game.
Just playing that civil war questline felt like it was broken, or programmed really poorly.

I wish consoles could handle a proper war, like maybe 100 v 100. But I don't see that happening :/

I'd like that, PCs swooping in, dropping bombs, the consoles in full retreat... oh, wait, you meant a war on consoles, not a war on consoles.

Well, I'm embarrassed.

Not entirely sure about the story, but I'd like to see some REALLY new content.

Maybe we could go further north or something, in terms of setting, I would just like to see more of the ocean, maybe a series of small islands or somewhere near the ocean, with a lot of ocean related content. Yes, I love the ocean and it really hasn't shown much presence lately in TES.

The water is always so safe.... it may seem a little short sighted to those of you who care more about the lore and story quests... but when it comes to new creatures... I want some f'in Sea Monsters. I mean, big ass sea monsters would make the the water that much more fun/terrifying to explore. The waters to the north have this eerie creepiness when you dive deep. But there's nothing there...

And maybe a few more massive enemies, things Dragon sized or bigger. Some colossal enemies would be great.

Anyways, aside from enemies... I think it's time for a new playable race to make it's debut. Maybe some of the non-tamrielic races could immigrate and establish a colony. Not sure which though, I'm not too knowledgeable of the lore, maybe the Monkey and Sload races could be cool? forgive me if there is some reason they wouldn't possibly migrate to Tamriel. Or maybe a surviving colony of unchanged Falmer could be discovered to the north or something.

No. Add more dungeons and locations; more varied places and for gods sake, more dwemer ruins.
There's no point in adding a "war" that will take 30min to complete with a lousy questline and laggy gameplay.

I think the next game will be all about the Thalmor, so that is probably not going to be a DLC. They keep talking about how big and massive the DLC is going to be, I think we might have a Morrowind DLC.

The reason for this is if you go to the border between morrowind and skyrim, the place looks ready made to add something to it. It would be interesting to see the aftermath of the eruption of red mountain. There is a whole lot they could do there, even a return to solstheim?

They wouldn't have o do the whole war in one dlc. It could be a couple of hours worth of quests released at a time. Though, I don't mind waiting for a proper expansion, either,

It would be nice if the DLC was all connected in some scheme like the New Vegas DLC. Only better since it is Todd Howard's boys.

Death to the Thalmor....I kill them whenever I find them in the wild...nearby Imperials will just stand there and watch....lol....I would love a war for DLC....however it would have to be an expansion pack for them to make it worth while, standard DLC would not be large enough.

you could have small DLC packs for a build up to the war in the expansion. the build up episodes would take place on the current map with some additional area to explore (dungeon or exterior)...then BAM!...sweet expansion pack and new areas to explore.....we can only hope.

Wait, helping the Falmer invade Skyrim or helping the Nords invade a Falmer city?

I'd prefer the former myself (or much more so - help the Forsworn take back their homeland).
