Fallout 3 vanilla,Oblivion is better with mods.

I like fallout better, but i think Oblivion is the more developed of the two. I look forward to the Fallout franchise to be as well developed and as complex as the TES franchise.

Well I only played Oblivion, so I can't vote. I can only say I prefer swords over guns.

Fallout. Better quests, better writing, better dialogue, better combat, and a much more interesting setting.

Oblivion. I felt that there was more to do and it was much more suited to roleplaying.

Oblivion currently offers more mod-wise, but 'out of the box' I prefer Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 > Oblivion

I can't stop playing Fallout 3 long enough to get back into Oblivion and if I miss some of Oblivion's atmosphere, I use mods which add them in (trees, grass, swords, fireballs, etc)

Fallout 3. Level and world design, quests, art direction, writing, stability, gameplay mechanics, graphics, all trump Oblivion.

Vanilla, Fallout 3 is simply better. However, mod the hell out of them, and Oblivion has the potential to be much better.

We won't be doing a "vs" thread. They always spell out trouble and this one in particular is an invitation to a flame fest.

Different strokes for different folks and all.
