Graphics Adapter Not showing up!

Post » Sun Nov 01, 2009 10:15 pm

Hi,

I purchased this game acouple days ago and have been having issues ever since.

At the begginning after installation and update the game would crash at the loading screen for a new game.

After searching the internet I found the d3d9.dll is the only way i can make this game play, but it just tricks the computer to playing it off of the processor, right? Now i dont wanna fry my computer so i've stopped playing for now.

What im getting at here, is in the Fallout 3 Launcher the only graphics adapter which is displayed is the "Intel Graphics Media Accellerator HD", and my GeForce GT330 doesnt even show up as an option!!

Is this why the game is crashing in the first place because it doesnt want to run off of the Intel Chip?

Please I want to play the game, any input would be appreciated, I see alot of people are having issues and that isnt very reassuring of a fix D:

Thanks

This game doesn't run on any Intel Integrated Graphic chips.

Looks like you have one of the power-saving type notebooks that switch to the Intel chipset when not doing any gaming. However, this game has difficulties recognizing the dedicated GT330. You're not the first to have this problem....many have solved it by getting the latest video card drivers from the notebook manufacturer and there was a supposed fix for it. I suggest you look into it and give it a shot.
