Classless Classes

This list will be simple. It will not be Guides or Builds. Just a Name and some notes. Please note, you can call your 'class' whatever you want. This is for those wondering how to play a 'class.'

FIGHTERS
-Warrior
The generic Fighter. If it is a Combat skill, then a Warrior probably uses it. Heavy Armor is their friend. 2h, shields, dual wielding, archery, all are viable, and you could use as many as you want.
-Barbarian
Also known as "WHAT IN OBLIVION IS THAT!?! :dead: " Barbarians wear Light Armor, which means they can't take as many hits, but thier focus is killing everything as quickly as possible. This means a 2h or 2w. Your only real defense is going to be speed, health, and of course, offense. Move fast and hit hard.
-Knight (aka Paladin, Templar, Crusader, Blackguard, Death Knight, Dark Knight, Black Knight, etc.)
Most Knights are 'lawful' but the good and evil thing is entirely up to you. You could be an Aedra worshipping Paladin, a Jarl serving Knight, or a Daedra serving Blackguard. Heavy Armor, a one-handed weapon, and a shield are your main weapons. Speech helps too. If playing as an Paladin or Blackguard, using some magic helps, but remember your a fighter not a mage.
-Archer/Ranger
A fighter who prefers to do battle at a distance, but knows how to go toe-to-toe when (more like if) the enemy gets close.
-Skirmisher
A Light armored fighter with a knack for shields. More defensive than a Barbarian.

MAGES
-Mage/Wizard
The generic Mage (as evident by the name...). Use all the schools of magic of course. Don't wear ANY armor, and instead use Flesh spells and Mage Armor perk. It is important to note the pure Mage is not about Direct Damage, but Indirect Damage.
-Mystic
The Mystic is a stealthy mage. Illusion and Sneak are important. Alteration and Conjuration keep you alive when you have to fight, but most of the time, the enemy will be fighting themselves.

THIEF
-Thief/Rouge
The pure Thief is all about stealing without getting caught. The Rouge variant knows how to fight when the dragon dung starts flying (nice anology, don't you think?).
-Assassin
The assassin is a different kind of thief. Instead of valuables, they steal lives. And they are good at it. Most likely Thief to use magic, but a good Assassin only needs enchanted gear. Poisons and bows take down enemies from a distance, and one or two poisoned blades let you get up close and personal.

HYBRIDS
>Fighter-Mage
The Fighter-Mage hybrids should always being wearing at least some armor. They will be in the thick of it casting spells and swinging weapons, so armor helps.
-Spellsword
More Fighter than Mage. Always have a spell in one hand, but magic is mostly used to support your weapon.
-Battlemage
Even balanced between Fighter and Mage. More likely to wear Light armor rather than Heavy.
-Sorcerer
More Mage than Fighter, but a damn good Fighter when they have to be. Use magic as your main weapon, and finish the enemy off with a weapon if they are still standing.
>Mage-Thief
The Mage-Thief hybrids are similar to Mystic, but with light armor.
-Nightblade
Pretty much a Mystic with armor. Can lean towards the Thief/Rouge or Assassin. Illusion and Alchemy are really useful for this class, because you can have your enemies fight each other while poisoning them.

If I am missing anything (probably am) let me know.

You can still use the basic setup of the classes used in OB and MW to a degree, just adjust where necessary. Any TES wiki has those listed.

I prefer the fighter in Light Armor, Shield & Sword. Bow for backup. Smithing to upgrade everything. Works fantastic in Skyrim.
