I bought a decently priced headset at Best Buy, they were $20 USD on sale, normally $32. I bought them, hooked them up, only with laptops and the sound quality is above average for the headphone portion. My issue is with the mic. The brand is Plantronics model A355. I've heard plenty of people say the mic is fine, but it is barely audible and my laptop can't recognize it. I don't have a regular PC to attempt it on, only a laptop. I reinstalled drivers and turned the mic up as high as possible still very minimal sound. I used Audacity and I can hear my voice when I turn it up by 36 decibels.... I want to be able to use it for skype but it's been a let down.... Any ideas?

Problem solved. I spent 2 hours last night before bed.... Turns out I had to disable old mic.
