Skyrim is fun to play when you cheat

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 11:08 am

On my first character I was curious about the cheating and so I did. Since then I enjoyed playing the game, although I've stumbled a lot of glitches which surprises me on a final version of a software. For a moment I thought I was playing a beta version because of large sums of glitches that I've encountered. Instead of being treated like a costumer I thought I was apart of the beta testing team, thank god that I didn't pay for the game because I would most certainly be contacting gamesas for a full refund of the purchase that I paid for in the game.

So I decided to create another character but this time I would not use any cheats whatsoever since I want to get the best of the game. So far my experience has been awful. Overpowering of dragons that drains you from your health before you can have the chance to attack it. You have NPC like Eola attacking you when they shouldn't be. I am doing the cannibal quest and this [censored] Eola keeps attacking me for no damn reason at all. After fighting the boss she starts attacking me for no reason. I reloaded the game and defeated the boss again. I tried letting her defeat it but no she keeps attacking me. Then she talks nicely to me to tell me to bring the priest to the cave and right after she tells me she again attacks me, WTF!?!?!? So I lure the priest to the cave and the whole entire crew is attacking me. I don't remember doing anything different from the first time I did it, and was successful. I was given the Ring of Namira on my first character and the piece of crap doesn't even work. I tried feeding on people and nothing happen. It didn't give me the option to feed.

It's unfortunately that this game is rather enjoyable if you cheat, which is quite sad... especially coming from an expensive game such as this one.

IMO this should've been a freebie game if anything.

What cheat? You mean mods.

Mods at best have better looking characters. Unlimited perks points. Probably jump a little higher and farther. Someone who takes their time might make a house. Something that would be nice is just an unlimited amount of bandits respawning in some big town or something.

Mod? By opening up the console ~ and entering in codes is considered cheating IMO. even the developers of this game supports cheating

Example... adding money to your character.... and giving your character amount of magic/health,etc.

i tried out some of those battles like you see in the youtube videos like 30 imperials vs 30 stormcloaks and tis actually kind of fun. its like a smaller version of mount and blade warband but with better graphics and fewer NPCs and obviously you cant control any of them........at least not yet. i really hope someone finds away to mod that in the game cause i would love to have real fort battles in the civil war questline with 100 actors at once. :)

This is precisely why I beg game developers to make games DIFFICULT. Certain people are going to cheat and enjoy the game anyway, so why not make the game difficult for those of us that enjoy that sort of thing. The cheaters will enjoy it just as much through god modes and the like.

There's loads of cheats, you can get to Level 81 with a weapon that does 8million damage in an hour, and armour that means if you were hit by the Deathstar it would only slightly inconvenience you.

These aren't console commands, i've seen them myself on xbox and have to agree.

What part of one-shotting everything in the game is fun?

Not really. Only a small minority actually get enjoyment out of using the console to make themselves an uberbeats and then going to town on Skyrim. Just because you enjoy it, doesn't mean everyone does.

only "cheat" I found are in game "power leveling" of some skills like alchemy and enchanting and smithing, which give u a level 40 character that has no combat or magic prowess what so ever XD and u will die horribly until u make a 100% mana reduction set for a magic school, which is still not cheating since u can still die horribly due to lack of defensive enchantments anyways :P

so in short unless u mod a cheat I won't call game mechanics cheating "although some things need tweaking"

and cheating svcks ass

it makes the game boring as hell

I discovered it using a rather well known potion cheat. I didn't actually know about it at the time, but needed to get my light armour better smithed. Was a random discovery that means i don't get my [censored] handed to me because there isn't a good looking set of armour without enchantments that don't apply to me.

Meh, when I make a new character I usually use the console to give him the racial abilities I think he should have, as well as some skill boosts in certain areas. I also change the height of my characters and after completing the trials with the Greybeards, I reduce the shout recovery time and RP that I spent some time studying with them.

Yeah of course it's cheating, but it's not making an uber character, and it allows me to fully customise my character, which I wouldn't be able to do otherwise. People who avoid cheating because they don't want the things that 'cheating' can offer are fine, but people who have this almost pathological fear of doing anything which isn't expressly allowed in the game just need to grow up.

It means he stole it. He probably got that crappy bugged version that got leaked in the beginning and now he's complaining because he stole something that doesn't work. Talk about an idiot.

Also, from what I've seen, you've experienced MAYBE two or three bugs over the course of the game, which I doubt you've played for more than 20 hours. In games of this scale, bugs are a fact of life, and if you don't want minor problems like that, please return to your nice Press X Not to Die games like a good little minion.

To sum up OP's post: "I am an Idiot, I hate Skyrim because it is not Call of Duty, and I stole the game but still expect to get the same treatment as paying customers."

Pretty much my sentiments exactly. Was wondering when someone would catch on to the fact that he pirated the game. Thought I was the only one that noticed.

I don't even know what to say OP. You say that the game is only fun when you cheat, yet this cheapens the game experience. No wonder your tired of the game already. You have completely missed the point of ROLE PLAYING in this ROLE PLAYING GAME.

I have been playing TES since Morrowind. I have played characters where I have cheated and played legit. Every time I cheat with a character, I loose interest very quickly in that character. However every time I play a legit character, and endure the difficulty and experience, the game is much more enjoyable.

As always with cheats and exploits, its your CHOICE to use them or not. This is a single player game, made for single people to role play in. So if your going to cheat, you have no right to bash the game.

Simply because the cheaters aren't a majority of the playerbase.
