The Battle for Hill 23

OOC: Ice Cold, you may still join. Sorry everyone for my absence, I've been busy with work, and to tired to post anything.

IC

Lieutenant Webster stood waiting as the rest of the group assembled to the Southern Wall. The wasteland was a desolate, and harsh place, but Hill 23 was a little speck of paradise. It was capable of holding soldiers there indefinatly, and you would have no problems. But first Lieutenant Webster had to see what these new recruits were all about. He walked infront of them, examining them very carfully. They seemed to be nervous a bit, which was fine. But they couldn't crack during a attack.

"Ok everyone! We are going on a little training exercise so I can see what you can do. Those hills over there, are full of BOS Knights and Paladins. Our job is to clear a portion of those hills clean of any BOS presence so we can get a relay hut postioned in there. It will give us a better warning of an attack, and also tell us when it is more approapriate to attack them. Only kill BOS knights and Paladins, the civilians though they may act hostile, are only oppressed by the BOS, and will help us with what we need. There is a rebel leader named James who is going to meet up with us, his men will be fighting along side the BOS, but do not shoot them. They will just take cover and kill the BOS Knights and Paladins along with us. So LETS MOVE OUT!"

Webster ordered as the Southern Wall gates opened. The gates resembled Dark age castle gates, but these one's were stronger. Webster checked his Plasma Rifle, and turned around to the group.

"Check your weapons. We don't want them getting jammed during combat!" Webster said continueing. "Also form up into two lines, I want it two man wide, nothing more nothing less."

Webster and the men marched out of the gates as the new recruits formed into two lines, two man wide.

SFC Jacobs moved into the front of the line. He marched steadily forward as he prepped his gear. He pulled back the slide on his pistol, checked the alignment of the bullet and holstered the weapon. His armor did most of the work, pulling his body along effortlessly, with only a thought for an action. His futuristic P90 lay in his arms as the small training group left the hill. The first things that Jacobs noticed as they pulled out of the fortress were a pair of low rises that stood shakily over the expansive plains.

If one of those are our target we may be in for a rough day. I wouldn't doubt that there are several posts that are spying on us right now. Jacobs mused to himself. Then again this CO does seem to be thinking out of the box so far. Anyone else would have just had a two team training excercise with stun rounds. This is way beyond anything that I expected.

"Sir, you never did say what our target was." Jacobs spoke quietly. He, like all of the others, wanted intel. But if it was necessary to run in guns blazing and make up a plan on the run, he was cool with that too.

Willy walked silently in line. The dark hills above seemed looming over them. He tried to divert his attention but he couldn't seem to. Every time he did he thought about what was going to happen. This didn't seem like a regular training excercise. It seemed dangerous. He did have little excitement running through his body, though. He hoped he could find a laser pistol in good condition. He could use the parts. They were making distance from the wall know. His senses were tingling. He had his new laser rifle snugly up in his arms. His poor condition armor felt weak against his body. The strength charges were weakening.

Charly was near the end of one of the lines. The weight of his backpack was starting feel a little heavier and to his surprise was starting to sweat. It made Charly sort of regret being the ammunition supplier.

Charly coldn't wait for his first taste of action. Looking at his fellow soldiers Charly noticed some of them were nervous but not Charly he was ready. Charly tried to see the front of the line and saw Lt. Webster leading the way. He seemed to be one of those "take no crap", experienced type of leader, Charly really didn't want to let him down.

Name: James Swayer
Rank: Corporal
Armour: Advanced Power Armour MkII
Clothes: Pre-War Parkstroller Outfit
Weapons: Laser Rifle, .44 Magnum Revolver, Ripper
Misc: Cigars and lighter, Field Dressing, Scrap Metal, hip flask filled with whiskey, brother's and father's dog tags
Bio: Due to his father being an officer, James could have enlisted as an officer, but wanted to earn the respect of his fellow soldiers and joined up as a private. He witnessed his father and brother die at the battle of hill 87 at the hands of the BoS, and from that day vowed to do them proud in anyway that he could and take revenge on the BoS. He has customised his laser rifle, writing the words "nothing personal" on it. Keeps scrap metal on him for makeshift repairs to his armour and weapons. Known to give cigars to soldiers and officers that he likes.

James jogged out of the barracks. He swore briefly as he saw Lt. Webster and the rest of the soldiers marching through the gates. Cursing himself for being late, he quietly jogged into the back of one of the lines. He held his laser rifle tightly, remembering the time that he had lost in the thick of battle and was stuck with his .44 and ripper, which was good for close up but useless for long range. As he saw the hills that hid the BoS, he felt hatred flare up. The BoS were responsible for the death of his father and brother. He felt their dog tags around his neck, and silently prayed that they would watch over him today.

OCC: I'm sorry for being impatient, but how much longer will this game be paused for? I'm rather looking forward to playing it through. An answer would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Well sadly Strange hasn't been on in a while. Stuff happens when you realize that mixing RP'ing and real life is a bad idea. Don't be surprised when some of us disapear for a while, because we will come back eventually. See ya when the zombies come :)

Stragelove is back, so he may continue it...

Anyway, Strangelove, I have a question. Do you think my guy from Hill 56 could make it to Hill 23? Or did we all die? :)

Sorry everyone, but this Rp will not be continued. I may one day return to the Enclave as an Rp idea, but for now I am broadening my horizon of Rp's. I'm thinking outside the box of what most Rp's on here are about. I will soon post my new Rp.
