I don't know why, but people seems to only like Human characters... What about the Elves ? Some of them are even more beautiful than some Human Women.

I got married because I thought it would produce a few story lines or quests. It's a good idea to include marriage in the game for the sake of emmersion but once I was married well... I'm not. It is like it is half done. I married Ysolda and she seems concerned about the cat people and caravans. But after she voices her concerns on these topics they go nowhere. So, where is the married banter, the in depth about who she is, her family, etc. Where are the plans to set up some sort of business together or some story of her uncle getting into trouble that I can help with or something. I married an object that has less depth than a quest giver. Why doesn't she become a quest giver? Why not use items in the home to trigger certain discussions with her?

As a device the marriage idea has a lot of potential. I would have hoped that the more beautiful the spouse or the more elevated their status the more difficult would be getting them to agree to marriage (not simply not on the cards) and the more complex the resulting quests story lines and consequences for the player. Something to think about in further expansions.

completely agree and some very good ideas. new vegas should have been the prototype for followers.

A couple issues. Vex needs to be an option. Also, I have no idea why the women only prepare one meal a day, when it obviously should be three.

Other than that, I found Ysolda to be pretty hot.

Ysolda seemed nice.

She knows what Soap is, which automatically put her leagues above the other women.

We got married, and .. the magic went, she has nothing interesting to say.. her last comment was to say what a nice house Proudspire was.. but since then, she sounds more and more insincere when she says "my love".

Now I don't go back to Proudspire Mansion, without a tear in my eye

While I would so much prefer an Altmer woman to marry (especially one of the Thalmor chicks!) I think Ysolde is absolute perfection. Sweet behavior, nice voice, looks.

How much gold do you want to bet that Ysolda will be one of the first NPC's to be companion-able via a mod?

Mjoll the Lioness :D

FTW!

Not only has she provided my Breton rogue gal companionship and wedded bliss but she is arguably the most bad ass follower in the game. :D

Probably pretty fast, question is whether that will come before or after Lydia gets a cosmetic makeover.

Maybe they could contract the Bioware writers to do it for them. :P

The guys aren't any better, at least aside from a few male Nords. Want a male non-Nord? Forget it.

Anything other than a Nord is ugly.

Cheers

Judging by a couple links that were posted in this thread, it looks like the hottest gal is a Breton.

I feel your pain. I thought that marrying a character would open up new quests or something too. I wanted to know more about my Skyrim spouse, yet she's nothing but a boring NPC with little to no backstory whatsoever. Fallout New Vegas didn't have marriage, but at least your companions had their own set of unique dialogues and quest-lines; I was so looking forward to something like this for Skyrim followers/companions/spouse. I hope Bethesda plans on adding more to this lack of depth for followers/companions/spouses.

Yeah Lisette. My rogue/ranger guy was heartbroken to find out she wasn't interested. Can't even recruit her as a follower :(

It's doable if you're playing on the PC though, she can be added to the marriage and follower factions.

Does she sing for you in the house too?

...no matter how you slice it, they all just go through the ceremony and move in...that's it... there's no sixy sleepwear or even the hint of a "Red Lucy" moment...and even that was blacked out... it was just a frustration, and I tried three different ones... oh well, maybe in about 10 yrs or so...
