Out of those I'd use Honeyside, due to being pretty close to the fast travel point. But Riften seems to lack a smelter, which is annoying when that's your base of operations, and Honeyside is also somewhat lacking in storage. Really, in a practical sense Breezehome is simply the best.

Hjerim, if you want to live on top of a pile of trash and Dunmer. It's like buying a mansion in the middle of Somalia.

It says that you have to do Bleak Falls Barrow to get Breezehome which is BULL. My last character they didn't offer it till after I kill the first dragon. I want to get a house without doing the main quest. Sick of those over grown cliff racers killing off everyone in open towns and me losing quest givers. I want to enjoy the game for awhile without having to look up every 2 minutes while I am exploring...... :biggrin:

I've got Breezehome, Hjerim, and just bought Proudspire tonight. Probably will buy Markath and Riften sometime this week when I play again.
