'Skyrim Herbarium' - new app for Windows Phone

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 7:41 pm

I just released this simple but extremely useful app for every Skyrim player 'Skyrim herbarium' for Windows Phone 7. It contains all ingredients available in the game with all their effects. It also shows all available recipes for your found ingredients easily on your phone without the need to switch between game and desktop to find a recipe. And what's best - it's free and ad-free :)

Here's the link:

Give it a try and if you like it, share it with your friends

This is advertising, no? Against the rules then, even if it's Skyrim related I think.

Well it's a free app without ads, made as a hobby project... not for commercial gain ;)

If you call posting this free app with no ads inside an advertisemant, then I guess Bethesda should just close down the "Mods" board.

Because 99% of the posts there fit the "advertisemant" standard of yours.

@Stigwa: Shoot, if this is advertising, then people showcasing their mods should be yelled at too, no? Useful tool is useful.

I don't make the rules and I like the app, looks awesome. But people get their threads locked here over just advertising their youtube pages. It is about any self advertising, not about just profit I guess.

@Role: There is a Mods forum for that here and also large websites that have been doing TES mod downlods for years. Like I said not my rules. I think the Forum rules really need to be revamped and changed on alot of issues.

Oh, sorry. Hehe. I didn't see the "free" part. Sorry, bro. Looks really good. I tend to miss such things. Maybe you can underline the Free and Ad free thing?

Just chucking some ideas out there into the hat....

Smithing? Could be along the same lines as the alchemy one, ingredients etc
Cooking? As above
Map? I know one has just been released for iOS, don't know how feasable it would be for WP7
Skill tree calculator?
Quest tracker?

I'll see if I can think of anymore :)

I definitely will try it out, once I make up my mind on the HTC Titan or Samsung Focus S.

I plan to release updated version of this app soon. First it will most likely contain 'alchemist table' page, where you can test mixing selected ingredients. It will be also nice to include images of all those 91 ingredients, but I am not sure, where to get them :). I'd like to include also lists with ingredients and effects in other languages to help players with localized Skyrim - if you know about such lists, let me know.

Also if you have any other ideas, how to improve the app, give me a note :)

Thanks
