Side quests (thieves guild): when enough is enough

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 12:37 am

Ok, I've been trying to do as many of the side quests as possible, as up until now, they've been fun. Guide says I need to do 5 side quests per city for the thieves guild, then I get access to the 'final' type missions, to bring the guild back to its former self.

Well, I've done at least 10-15 of those and gotten one...as much as I like to be a completist, doing the same type mission over and over is NOT FUN!

Am I missing something?

The fastest way is to quit jobs that aren't in the cities you need.

If you get a job in the town or towns you already have finished the complete job for, just quit the job and get a different one. There is no backlash for doing that other than what the person says to you when you quit.

It only took me an hour or so to do them all that way.

Also, I only did the quick ones.. I liked the burglary ones best for speed or the book keeping ones.

The quickest method is to take a Bedlam job and a Sweep job in the same city. You appease both jobs by simply doing the sweep. As mentioned above, if you don't get a matching city, just quit the second job until you do. After you do five in a city you will have a "major" heist to complete. After the major job in each city is done, you're finished.

Can you repeat the same type of job in a city to have it count as one of the five (i.e. all sweep), or do you need to do different types of jobs (i.e., sweep, burglary, heist, etc)?

cool beans, grats!

And yes, you can do all the same job if you want. You don't have to do the all or any special combo.
