Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 1:48 pm

Hey guys i have a big problem with my chest that im using to store all my stuff! Ehat i want to know is, fo containers have a limit? Because after not returning to the place for about a week, i quickly returned and dumped some stuff in it. I then looked to see what was in it, and found only the results of my last two offloads in there. I had lost over fifty dragon scales and bones, and lots off expensive weapons and armour.

Are you sure you are using one that doesn't respawn? I'm not sure about the limit though.

The chest on the immediate left as you enter the abandoned shack from the DB initiation.

That particular chest probably resets but I don't know for certain. The chest in the Harbingers quarters in Jorrvaskr resets though so I wouldn't be surprised it all chests reset, the only exception is the chests in houses owned by you.

until the creation kit is released and we can find out for sure which are safe, the only truly safe storage is a container in a house that you own......or in guild halls that you are the leader of and then, only the guild leader's containers are safe.

Skyrim apparently has a monthly cycle whereas Oblivions cycle was only a few days (ingame timing not real time)

You shouldn't use a container unless it's yours (in your house for example). Personally, I pile up my things on the floor on the left of the Skyforge forge in Whiterun. Nothing has never disappeared from there.
