Artaeum

While the word Artaeum was never actually used in-game, it occurred to me that it is perfect for a piece of downloadable content. I have heard people speculating that Morrowind, Cyrodiil, or even Hammerfell would be DLC, this seems unlikely to me for a number of reasons: Cyrodiil and Morrowind have already been hugely explored in two past Elder Scrolls games, and Hammerell is actually larger than the province of Skyrim, making the probable size of the content enormous. Artaeum is a decent-sized landmass, and when the Psijic Order disappeared they took it with them, also providing us with a nice storyline. It is also part of the Summerset Isles, meaning that the Thalmor could be explored in more detail than they were in the main game, and bringing the fight to their shores would be an excellent way to extend the Elder Scrolls lore. This makes sense because the Thalmor actually haven't been stopped yet, and there is always a jump of a hundred or so years between each game, and removing the Thalmor threat through lore and backstory alone would be a measly way of wrapping up that plot line... Tell me what you think in the poll.

Oh, that makes sense.

Since, y'know, the Thalmor are obviously interested in the Eye. I have no doubt they'll try taking it back.

itsgozilla1393, read my last sentence. I can't see the Aldmeri Dominion lasting that long, especially seeing as whatever rebellion/quelling of rebellion in Skyrim has brought unity to a province, the second province to rebel, along with Hammerfell, which the Thalmor are having serious trouble taking.

The only major hole in your theory is the "...and there is always a jump of a hundred or so years between each game..."

Beacuse that is not true.

it seems to be gone, but even if it was back it is nearly impossible to reach them, they have sea serpents protecting their island, and they are on the other side of the continent. it is much more likely than atmora or dwemer though, so have a cookie for an actually thought out idea for a dlc :cookie:

P.S. it is not a part of summerset, the two nations actually hate each other's guts with a burning passion (well altmer hate EVERONE's guts with a burning passions, i do not know if the mormer share the hatred or not).

P.P.S. artaeum is the home of mormer right? if not ignore my reservations about it, other than the whole dissapearing thing, they could still be very much gone, and my last comment.
